SHEAL: our first judge studied BS Psychology in Ateneo and worked

for ten years in the urban corporate jungle of manila. A full-
time visual artist who exhibits and commissions paintings
nationwide and abroad. She was featured and interviewed by
several media and publications in the national and
international grounds, Balitang K, Manila Bulletin, Philippine
Daily Inquirer, Philstar, and U.S. Treats Magazine to name a
few. She conducts keynote speaking and inspirational talks
as well as art seminars and painting workshops in schools
and universities in the Bicol Region. Please welcome DJOANA
a.k.a. DJAI B. TANJI.
AWARDING OF CERTIFICATE AND TOKEN TO JUDGE 1

BOBBY: Our second judge was born on January 12, 1975 at Bacacay,
Albay. He studied Fine Arts major in Painting at the
University of Sto. Tomas in 1992. His works explores
metaphors of personal struggles, social and political issues,
and attempts to reveal the almost surreal ironies. Seldom, he
joins local group art exhibits. His works was recognized in
some painting competitions. To name some, he was the first
prize awardee in a Local Competition in UST during the
PLDT-DPC Telephone Directory Cover 8th Visual Art National
Competition on February 16, 1994. Also a semi-finalist at the
11th Metrobank National Painting Competition on Sept 1994,
and a finalist of the same competition on September 8, 1995.
He si also a finalist in the 1996 Metrobank Foundation Young
Painters Annual National Competition on September 6, 1996.
He is the First Prize Awardee in the Local Competition for the
PLDT DPC Telephone Directory Cover !2th Visual Art
NAtiona Competition on February 7, 1998 and the first
Honorable Mention of the same competition in the National
Level. Let us all welcome our second judge MR. GLENN B. DE
GUZMAN.
AWARDING OF CERTIFICATE AND TOKEN TO JUDGE 2
SHEAL: Beyond doubt, our third judge is a multidisciplinary artist
whose capability is unquestionable. Indeed, he is a versatile
artist-a graphic designer, photographer, videographer, and
painter. He took formal formal photography lessons at the
prestigious New York Institute of Photography and worked
for a while with the International News Organizations. His
works found their way to some local, national, and
international publications.
Considered a self-taught artist; this Legazpi City born
and raised impressionist started his passion in his younger
days which resulted in receiving awards from numerous
competitions he partakes. Like everybody else, he idolizes
international masters which inspired him to further his
knowledge. Nature lensman Ansel Adams undeniably
influenced him. Daido, Mariyama and painter Georgia
O’Keefe pushed him to his limits as he convinced himself to
portray his visions into a canvas. A certified instructor, he
had worked in a state-run university handling humanities,
photography, videography, and photo journalism subjects.
Together with his fellow Bicolano artists, he mounted
numerous art exhibitions within Manila and other parts of
the country. A round of applause for MR. PING B. PERALTA.
