    Make a reaction paper regarding the film “Ang Buhay ng Isang Bayani”.

    The documentary film entitled “Ang Buhay ng Isang Bayani” portrayed the Life of our
    Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. The film itself, summarizes the course Life and works of Rizal. It conveyed
    how Jose Rizal lived his life with his own ideas and principles. In the documentary, I watched
    about life of Dr. Jose Rizal and I have learned a lot to know the events during Rizal’s time; the
    things he went through in attaining his goal that is to give freedom to the Filipinos and on how he
    aided to promote Philippine nationalism. Not only the events but also his personal life; his
    problems, the women he met, his achievements and but despite all of this you will learn many
    lessons. Even though he is known as smart and talented person, Rizal also experienced the life of
    a normal person.
    If I will compare my life to Rizal, his life is not that simple. I can say that he really deserve
    to be a national hero of our country because he sacrifice his life to liberate our country from the
    tyranny of Spain in 1900s, even if he fought for our freedom in an exceedingly silent but powerful
    way still he succeeded. The life of the Filipinos during the time of Spanish colonization is not that
    easy. I can say that this is one of the reason why Rizal went to abroad to observe the life, culture,
    languages and customs, industries, government and laws of the different countries for his
    preparation to the mighty tasks of liberating his oppressed people from the Spanish tyranny.
    Education for Rizal is important, despite all of all the bad experiences he encountered when
    he was studying he continued to pursue his study. He stressed the importance of education unlike
    the other wealthy Filipinos back then, they chose to keep quiet and enjoy themselves while their
    fellow citizen were suffering from the mistreatment of the Spaniards. For me, it is sad to think that
    with all the sacrifices Rizal had made he has neglected himself to the point that he still puts his
    countrymen first. In his life, there are many opportunities wasted that would have made him very
    happy but for the reason that he really love his country he did not give himself a chance to grab
    this opportunities.
    After I watched the documentary I cried, at the same time feel sad and pity for what Rizal
    went through, especially when he were killed by our fellow Filipinos. It’s a pity to think that the
    person whose only goal is to give freedom to the Filipinos is the one who has been accused of
    doing wrong. However we cannot do anything because it’s over as long as he have done everything
    he could for his country and that he accepted and was ready to face his death, I am happy and
    grateful for him. He is quite strong incredible person that no matter how many storm he passes
    through he did not give up. If we really study Rizal’s life, we can learn many lessons that we may
    apply to ourselves. Not for being ambitious but I hope one day someone will be able to write about
    my life just like Dr. Jose Rizal. Even if they do not share with the whole world but hopefully for
    the community or in schools for the young people who can learn a lesson from it. I may not be
    Jose Rizal but I know in myself that I there is a lesson you might learn from me. Rizal may not be
    have been the first to be chosen as a national hero , but for me he is the greatest ; his life, cleverness
    and principles will remain and became a model to all the Filipinos.
