LABORATORY ACTIVITY 5
TWO STATION MOTOR CONTROL WITH EMERGENCY STOP
(Non- Reversing)
I. OBJECTIVES:
The operation of a Two Station Motor Control is the same as the operation of the
across the line magnetic starter except that the two start and stop push buttons are connected
in parallel and series respectively with the addition of two emergency stop push buttons.
This type of motor control connection is used to operate the motor from two
different locations called, Station 1 and Station 2. Emergency stop as the word implies is very
useful during emergency situations. It will de-energize the whole control and power circuit
instantly upon pressing the mushroom head button.

VIII. CONCLUSION:
(Discuss how two station motor control function by referring to your design diagram)
When I operate the simulation tool, the idle bulb glows, indicating that current flows in
the circuit. A two station motor control, as shown in my diagram, is a motor control that
can be controlled from two different locations. Stations one and two are available.
Except for the two start pushes, the Two Station Motor Control's start and stop operation
is identical to that of the Across the Line Magnetic Starter switches, two stop push
buttons, and two emergency stop push switches are connected in series, while the two
start push switches are connected in parallel.
IX. EVALUATION:
It is handy to be able to control industrial machinery devices from more than one
location with two station motor control. It assists us in making the motor control system
safer and more convenient for all workers who handle the motor control system. It will
reduce the danger due to the circuit's designed wiring by having two start push buttons,
especially for systems that cover a large area and take a long time to run.
It is placed in parallel because when we press the start push button, it energizes our
coil via the normally closed overload, and the coil energizes our seal in contacts or
holding contacts, which are normally open contacts that will shut.

We must attach our stop push buttons in series as a result of that they will be the ones
to kill the circuit or protect current from passing through it and power from traversing to
our control circuit at any point. Both stop push buttons must be closed, which is why it
is connected in series, since the electric power will circulate through them until it
reaches our contacts.
