Introduction of the project Event Management System:
The “Event Management System” has been developed to override the
problems prevailing in the practicing manual system. This software is supported
to eliminate and, in some cases, reduce the hardships faced by this existing
system. Moreover, this system is designed for the particular need of the company
to carry out operations in a smooth and effective manner.
The application is reduced as much as possible to avoid errors while
entering the data. It also provides error message while entering invalid data. No
formal knowledge is needed for the user to use this system. Thus, by this all it
proves it is user-friendly. Event Management System, as described above, can
lead to error free, secure, reliable, and fast management system. It can assist the
user to concentrate on their other activities rather to concentrate on the record
keeping. Thus, it will help organization in better utilization of resources.

Organization Name: GIRIJANANDA CHOWDHURY INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT &
TECHNOLOGY.
Every organization, whether big or small, has challenges to overcome and
managing the information of Booking, Event, Employee, Package, Enquiry.
The purpose of Event Management System is to automate the existing
manual system by the help of computerized equipment and full-fledged computer
software, fulfilling their requirements, so that their valuable data/information can
be stored for a longer period with easy accessing and manipulation of the same.
The required software and hardware are easily available and easy to work with.
Objective:
The main objective of the Project on Event Management System is to
manage the details of Event, Booking, Customer, Employee, Enquiry. It manages
all the information about Event, Package, Enquiry. The project is totally built at
the administrative end and thus only the administrator is guaranteed the access.
The purpose of the project is to build an application program to reduce the
manual work for managing the Event, Booking, Package, Customer. It tracks all
the details about the Customer, Employee, Enquiry.
Existing System:
In the existing system the events are recorded manually but in the
proposed system we have to computerize the manual system with this
application.
 Lack of security of data.
 More manpower.
 Time consuming.
 Consumes large volume of pare work.
 Needs manual calculations.
Proposed System:
The aim of the proposed system is to develop a system of improved
facilities. The proposed system can overcome all the limitations of the existing
system.

 Ensures data accuracy.
 Minimize manual data entry.
 Minimum time needed for the various processing.
 Greater efficiency.
 Better service.
 User friendly and interactive.
 Minimum time required.

 Event Management Module: Used for managing the event details.
 Enquiry module: Used for managing the details of the enquiries.
 Package module: Used for managing the details of the package.
 Booking management module: Used for managing the details and
information of the booking.
 Customer module: Used for managing the customer details.
 Employee module: Used for managing the Employee information.
 Login Module: Used for managing the login details.
 User module: Used for managing the users of the system.

Further scope and conclusion:

It will help in reducing manpower and time wastes due the existing
system and everything will be managed in computer software which will be easy
to use, secure and efficient.
Our project is only a humble venture to satisfy the needs to manage
their project work. This package shall prove to be a powerful package in satisfying
all the requirements of the institution.
