ACTIVITY DESIGN
II. Rationale :
The Department of Education (DepEd) recognizes that the success of any education
system greatly relies on the competence of its teachers not only in academic aspect but also in extra
curricular activities. Hence, one of the issues of the Department aims to address through its Sports
Program implementation is the need for highly competent coaches in the field of sports.
The Sarangani Division particularly in the Sports Department aims to hone the knowledge and
skills of the coaches as preparation for the incoming National Skills Competition and selection of athletes
for the Sarangani Academy that would represent the whole Province to any sports competition in local,
national and international.
The Municipality of Alabel therefore dreams to be a part of the said competition. The Alabel
coaches needs to be refreshed with the fundamentals and be acquainted with the new learning that
capacitate them with the necessary skills particularly in training athletes. Thus this training-workshop
be conducted.
III. OBJECTIVES
This Three-Day Activity aims to:
1. Capacitate SPS/MAPEH Teachers and coaches on the fundamentals of coaching during and
after the Covid-19 Pandemic.
2. Develop coordinators/cooches’ skills in the following:
a. Physical Fitness Test
b. Fitness Recovery and Injury Prevention
c. Conditioning and strengthening
d. Warm up and Body weights exercises
d. Formulating Training Plan/Matrix/Design
IV. BENEFICIARIES
35- SPS /MAPEH Teachers and Coaches of Alabel National High School
Hereunder are the steps to be undertaken for the conduct of the activity, to wit:
1. Preparation of the Activity Design to be submitted to the Principal for the allocation of
budget/
2. Conference with the speakers/committee of the program
3. Information dissemination to the Teachers/Coaches
4. Conduct of the activity
5. Preparation and submission of the Accomplishment Report
VI. Expected Output:
Participants are expected to:
1. Actively engage in collaborative learning for mutual growth and advancement;
2. Develop Fundamental Skills in Coaching
3. Establish Training Plan for instructional/skills delivery
4. Implementation of the Program
5. Monitoring and Evaluation
