Content Standard: The learner demonstrates understanding of: Southeast Asian literature as
mirror to a shared heritage; coping strategies in processing textual information; strategies in
examining features of a listening and viewing material; structural analysis of words and
propaganda techniques; and grammatical signals for opinion- making, persuasion, and emphasis.
Performance Standard: The learner transfers learning by composing and delivering a persuasive
speech based on an informative essay featuring use of properly acknowledged information
sources, grammatical signals for opinion-making, persuasion, and emphasis, and appropriate
prosodic features, stance, and behavior.
I. Objectives:
A. Define parallel structure;
B. Display harmonious relationship through group activity;
C. Rewrite sentences to make them parallel in structure.
IV. Procedures:
1. Preliminary Activities
a. Prayer
b. Greetings
c. Checking of Attendance
1. The teacher will host the show “Today with Tine”, choose a student to be the
guest in the said show through randomizer.
2. The host will do a fast talk with the guest.
3. The series of words and pictures will present in fast talk are relevant with
parallel lines.
4. The teacher will define the meaning of parallel lines.

3. Establishing the purpose of the lesson
1. The teacher will present an activity using the Kahoot app.
2. Students will choose which one does not belong to a group by

4. Presenting examples/instances of the lessons
1. Present two sentences and ask the students which one is better in terms of
structure.
2. Ask for students’ idea about the sentences.
The class will be grouped into three present the different group activities.
Group 1: Describe the pictures given using parallelism.
Group 2: Have a simple conversation using parallelism.
Group 3: Write a short poem in any topics using parallelism.
