Poetic Devices – Setting and Imagery

Poet use many poetic devices to express their ideas and images. One is the setting of the poem-
the time and place or the physical world described by the poet. Imagery refers to any sort of image the poet
conveys.
Poets are masters in using imagery. Imagery can be achieved through the use of words and
phrase that appeal to the senses.
