SPEAKING PARTS 3&4

PART 3
▪In Part 3, you and your partner have to do a collaborative
task with two sections.
▪The examiner explains the context of the task and then gives
you a question to discuss.
▪This question appears in the centre of the diagram and has
five written prompts around it. These prompts give you points
to consider and are related to the central question.
▪You have a short time to look at the task before you need to
start speaking.
▪You have about two minutes for your discussion of the question
and prompts.
▪You should aim to cover the points covered in the prompts.
▪The examiner stops you after two minutes and asks you a
second question, which is related to the topic you have been
discussing. This question is not written down and you are asked
to reach a conclusion with your partner.
▪You have about a minute to do this . It doesn’t matter if you
and your partner are unable to agree on a final decision: it’s
your discussion that is important, and there is no right answer.
