4 CABLES SUPPORTED ON RACKS OR TRAYS

4.1 Single-Core Power Cables

If single-core power cables are arranged horizontally and vertically, they shall be clamped with
trefoil multi-cleats at least every 1.0 m (at walls, racks, etc.).
Non-magnetic clamps must be used for this purpose, to brace the cables against dynamic impulse
forces during short-circuits and to avoid closed conductive loops.
The spacing of cable-supporting metallic work shall be to the approval of ADDC/AADC.
Every non-flexible cable shall be securely supported at a point not more than 1.0 m from its
terminal gland to prevent stressing of the terminal, and on vertical runs passing through floors,
the cable shall be supported immediately above the floor.

4.2 Control Cables

Control cables shall be secured with metal fixings such as stainless steel cable ties, strapping or
cable clamps with the following minimum fixing distances:
a) Vertical arrangement:
 for cables or cable bunches of diameter  25 mm fix every 600 mm
 for cables or cable bunches of diameter > 25 mm fix every 300 mm.
