The United Nations (UN) will commemorate the 77th anniversary of its founding
on October 24, 2022. The Philippines and the rest of the globe refer to October of
each year as the UN month for this reason. It is important to note that The
Philippines was one of the initial 51 UN member states. The UN has declared
2022 to be the "International Year of Sustainable Mountain Development" in light
of this.
Guided by international and national

frameworks and policies on equality, DepEd
recognizes the important role of education in
addressing and building the need for world
peace, friendly relationships among other
nations, and respect for each right and freedom.
I. RATIONALE
The United Nations will be honored in conjunction
with this festival at Tropical Village National High
School. Teachers and students from the Araling
Panlipunan Department will participate in the
activity, which will be run from October 20–24, 2022.
This activity aims to:

a. increases students' love of the world;
b. showcase students’ talents through various

Guidelines And Mechanics

1. The Essay Writing Contest is open to all students of Tropical Village
National High School.
2. The contest proper shall be on October 20, 2022 qt the Audio-Visual
Room.
3. All contestants shall register on or before October 20,2022,8:00 AM to Mr.
Jaymark Doca.
4. The Essay must be in English with a minimum of 200 words. No
maximum words are required. Below 200 words are subjected to
disqualification.
5. The maximum time to write the piece is two hours. And will be judged on
the following criteria.
Relevance to the topic ………………………….…….40%
Grammar and Correct use of words………… ..….20%
Organization of Ideas………………………………….20%
Style, Neatness, and Readability of piece………….20%

2. Each participant can use any national costume of their chosen country.
3. Highly encouraged to use a costume that is available in the participant’s place of

Assignments
1. The Executive Team
 Serves as overall decision and policy-making body in coordination
with the technical working teams.
 Monitors the timeline in the conduct of the activity
2. The Planning Team

 Drafts and submits the training proposal for approval.
 Finalizes the training matrix and communicates the same to all the
teams.

 Directs the flow of the activity.
3. The Registration
 Provides registration sheet for all the participants.
 Keeps the records of attendance of the participants
 Checks the attendance in the morning or afternoon session each
day or if done only on half day.
4. The Documentation Team

 Records the proceedings of the activity
 Compiles all the documents relative to the training
 Organizes the documents and submits the same to the executive
team.
 Captures important proceedings in pictures and in videos.
5. The Program Team

 Designs and drafts program and invitation for the for the activity.
6. Certificate Committee
 Prepares certificates for the participants and the TWG’s.
7. Quality Assurance, Technical Assistance, Monitoring and Evaluation

(QATAME)
 Ensures that Quality Assurance standards and regulations are
met by the organizing committee in the conduct of the training
 Consolidates feedback/evaluation and submit quality assurance
report of the activity
