The American Petroleum Institute (API) has granted a non-exclusive license to Wheatley, Inc.
to use the trademark/service mark on 6A and 6D check valves. ®
When you’ve been in business for 80 years you come to
know a thing or two about what your customers are Non-Removable (Integral) Seat
looking for. That’s why we’ve built everything you need
right into our off-the-shelf API 6D check valves.
And, we’ve done it for price that’s pretty close to what
other manufacturers charge you for their “standard.”
If you really compare apples to apples, we think you’ll
see the difference.
Deluxe Features:
1. 316 stainless steel trim is compatible with a broad
range of media and operating conditions.
2. Full-open, through conduit design for low pressure
drop and less turbulence. Valves easily pass pigs
and spheres.
3. 90 durometer, peroxide-cured seals are compatible
with a broad range of media and operating
conditions. Seals provide a bubble-tight shut-off
every time.
4. Suitable for vertical flow up or horizontal
installation. Eliminates guesswork on your part.
5. All materials conform to NACE MRO175 because
you can’t be too careful.
When You Need A Chec
6. Cast on flanges provide greater valve body integrity
and fewer leak points. Flanges are perfectly aligned.
7. API 6D monogram is your assurance that we

maintain a fully-audited quality control program
which guarantees that we meet or exceed
API 6D specifications.
8. Flanges are back-faced — an extra manufacturing
step which provides smoother bolting surfaces and
even bolt loading.
9. Bolted top entry complete with 1⁄2” NPT cover tap
for gauges and accessories (except 1” size).
In-line repairable.
10. Thru-pin clapper shaft makes clapper removal easier
and extends valve life by transferring wear and tear
to an inexpensive replaceable part.
With all of these deluxe features built right into our API
6D check valves, we often wonder why you would want
to waste time picking and choosing among other
manufacturers’ specials. When you really compare
apples to apples, wouldn’t you rather have a Nace Plus in
your pipeline or production system?

Instead of stainless steel, you get carbon steel. Just change the last digits of the order
