I. Course/Program Title: SCHOOL IN-SERVICE TRAINING (INSET) FOR TEACHERS SY 2021-2022 (ELEMENTARY LEVEL)

II. Course/Program Brief Description: The program is a 5-day VIRTUAL seminar for teachers to ensure engagement to lifelong learning necessary to continuously increase
competence resulting in increased academic performance of learners. Further, this will improve not just teachers’ technical competencies but also personal and
professional ethics in the workplace. This virtual seminar-workshop will also target the following priority strands: strategies for promoting literacy and numeracy,
strategies for developing critical and creative thinking, as well as other higher-order thinking skills, management of classroom structure and activities, learners’ needs,
strengths, interests, and experiences, and planning and management of teaching and learning process.

The seminar-workshop will be composed of various learning repertoires such as group discussion, forum and lecture. Also topics may be split into plenary and breakout
sessions depending on the nature of the topics to be covered and who the participants will be. Common topics among all teachers shall be in plenary sessions while
specialized topics shall be in breakout sessions.

III. Objectives:
1. To develop oneself by setting goals
2. To revisit the RPMS MODULES 1-6;
3. To cascade Teaching & Learning Resources including ICT to create a more engaging exploration;
4. To reinforce the use of Self-Assessment Tools;
5. To emphasize the importance of Classroom Observation Tools in the new normal;
6. To highlight the Innovative way of Conceptualization;
7. To discuss the overview of Needs Assessment (Strengths and Weaknesses) as part of the RPMS Part IV Developmental Plans
8. To enhance skills in oral and written communication
