In 2007, Special Science Elementary Schools (SSES) Project was launched and implemented to fifty-seven (57) public
elementary schools and an additional of forty-three ( 43) more in 2009 ( DO 57, s.2011). This project helped a lot for our
Filipino school children who have skills and talents, scientifically and technologically to become more productive partners
for the development of the community and society.
Zamboanga del Sur Division, particularly in Congressional District I, already implemented the Special Science
Curriculum, its effectiveness and contribution to the quality of education it gives to its learners and teachers made it a
great success. With these, the said program pushes its expansion to Congressional District I.
Margosatubig Regional Pilot School, is one of the privileged schools identified to open Special Science Curriculum for
Grades 1 to 6 learners for School Year 2022-2023. It is such a blessing to be part of the program, knowing the fact that
this will give our school children, potentially gifted learners the opportunity to fully develop their scientific and
technological knowledge, skills and talents for them to be equipped with what this digital era brings. More to that, this
will help the teachers in uplifting their potential in implementing and managing the said program.
With these, we would like to request your good office, your favorable consent as an approval to open the Special Science
Curriculum in our school.

A RESOLUTION TO LEGALIZE THE SPECIAL SCIENCE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AT

MARGOSATUBIG REGIONAL PILOT, POBLACION, MARGOSATUBIG, ZAMBOANGA DEL
SUR.
WHEREAS, presented to this body, is a letter of request from Margosatubig Regional Pilot
School, School ID 125224 of Margosatubig District I, requesting support and a resolution for the legalization
of the opening Special Science Elementary School.
WHEREAS Margosatubig Regional Pilot School, being the center of all elementary schools
comprising Margosatubig District I, with a great number of enrollees of 1,890 with a very supportive parents
and stakeholders in the community.
WHEREAS, Margosatubig Regional Pilot School, is a performing school where some of their
pupils qualified to district, QUALCI and division contest and won several awards in every category
participated.
WHEREAS, Margosatubig Regional Pilot School, has potential gifted and talented pupils that
are fit to qualify for the Special Science Curriculum.
WHEREAS, Margosatubig Regional Pilot School, has qualified and excellent teachers fit to
manage the Special Science Curriculum.
WHEREAS, Margosatubig Regional Pilot School, is one of the identified schools to open SSES
for Margosatubig District I and it suited to open legally the said program.
NOW THEREFORE, upon the motion of Hon._____________________________, duly
seconded by Hon. ___________________________, this body RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED
to request the Schools Division Superintendent of the Division of Zamboanga del Sur, MAJARANI
MACARAEG-JACINTO,Ed.D.,CESO VI to legalize the implementation of Special Science Elementary School
of Margosatubig Regional Pilot School, Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished to the office of the Schools

RATIONALE
Section 17, Article II of the Philippine Constitution mandates the State to give
priority to Education, Science and Technology to foster patriotism and nationalism, accelerate
social programs and promote total human development. Section 10, Article XIV further states
that Science and Technology are essential for nationalism, invention, innovation and their
utilization.
In support with these, the Department of Education through its Bureau of

Elementary Education, launched and implemented Special Science Elementary Schools (SSES)
in 2007 to fifty seven (57) public elementary schools and expanded to forty- three (43) more
schools in 2009. ( DO 57, s.2011)
SSES is one of the best research and development project implemented in the field
of education. With its vision and mission that is to develop our Filipino children be equipped
with scientific knowledge, skills and attitudes and to become productive partners in the
development of the community and society. These will give ample opportunities, to our school
children especially those who have skills, talents, scientifically and technologically advance to
be more equipped and become more ready on what this digital era brings.
Opening SSES project also means new trends and innovation in our education
system will be introduced. SSES objectives give a clear picture on what it offers to the learners
and what to expect after. Enclosure No.1 of DepEd No. 57, s. 2011 “Policy Guidelines in the
Organization of the Special Science Elementary Schools (SSES), its objectives aims to provide
an enriched curriculum for Mathematics and Science, provide gifted and talented learners with
venues, opportunities and exposures for developing necessary skills and aptitudes, capacitate
school heads and teachers in implementing and managing a SSES school and to develop SSES
program models for both the regular and SPED schools.
With these objectives, we can produce Filipino learners that are 21 st century ready.
That are competitive, creative, scientifically and technologically prepared and most of all God-
fearing and loving individual’s that soon become our country’s partners towards development.
