Based on the actual presentation of the team, please share what you have learned of

the topics being discussed. Frame your thoughts on the following:

 Highlight your AHA moment.

My AHA moment was during the discussion of perception. I found out that visual
perception, self perception and social perception affects how we perceive other people
or objects around us. I find myself relating to some of their examples specifically the
stereotypes , a factor that affects our social perception. Just like when I was a child, I
grow up thinking that pink are only for girls and which now I find absurd, because my
perception was also affected by other factors as I get older.
 Emphasize at least 5 points that was clearly discussed.
 Values
 Socio Psychological Theory
 Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
 Perception
 Measuring Personality

 Outline at least 5 points that made you feel confused.

 Allport’s Trait Theory

 Self Theory
 Cattell’s Trait Theory
 Universalism
 Psychoanalytic Theory
 Research those confusing points and discuss your own understanding.

 Allport’s Trait Theory - Allport's theory of personality emphasizes the

uniqueness of the individual and the internal cognitive and motivational
processes that influence behavior. Allport’s theory is a trait personality
theory, which focuses on the specific psychological attributes along which
individuals tend to differ in consistent and stable ways.
 Self Theory - The Self Theory emphasizes on the set of perceptions an
individual has for himself and the perceptions of the relationships he has
with others and the other aspects of life.
 Cattell’s Trait Theory - According to Raymond Cattell, personality is a pattern of
traits and that helps to understand his personality and predict his behaviour.
Traits are permanent and build the personality of an individual. Cattell made a
distinction between source and surface traits. Surface traits are very
obvious and can be easily identified by other people, whereas source traits are
less visible to other people and appear to underlie several different aspects of
behavior.
 Universalism - understanding, appreciation, tolerance, and protection for
the welfare of all. people and for nature. This contrasts with the in-group
focus of benevolence values.
 Psychoanalytic Theory - Psychoanalytic theory divides the psyche into three
functions: the id—unconscious source of primitive sexual, dependency, and
aggressive impulses; the superego—subconsciously interjects societal mores,
setting standards to live by; and the ego—represents a sense of self and
mediates between realities of the moment and psychic needs and conflicts.

 How do you assess the team's presentation?

Team 2 did very good in discussing their topics. The presenters showed a
full understanding of their topics. Also the presentation was very attractive
and readable. Although, I think the presentation is too long and I
sometimes can’t comprehend what the last presenter said because I can’t
hear her well at my seat
