LETSUPGRADE

The idea of doing something other than ordinary creeps into a

person’s mind at some point or the other in their life. It is the will
of holding onto that idea and the will to do something concrete
about it, that sets people apart from others. LetsUpgrade began
with a similar zeal. The fervour behind changing the way in which
coding is taught, paved the way for the success of LetsUpgrade.

2018 was the year when the journey began with a Free Coding
School for children in Chennai. The unique and fun methodology
used by trainers was loved by the young learners and gave their
supple minds a much needed innovative shape.

In late 2019, LetsUpgrade began hosting community meet-ups in

small cafes for adult learners who want to learn coding for free.
Starting from a humble number of 20 students in the first batch,
there was no looking back. Chennai and Mumbai were the two
most popular hubs, with plans to expand to Bengaluru,
Hyderabad, parts of Gujarat and West Bengal as well.

When the pandemic of COVID-19 struck in the early months of

2020, the restrictions of the nation-wide lockdown proved to be a
huge challenge. But the will to never let go of the desire to
change the face of ed-tech, proved to be a blessing. LetsUpgrade
moved to 100% online mode of teaching, thereby increasing
accessibility and reach by multifolds. The batch size jumped from
20 to over 1500!
