SUMMARY
“Our first priority is to be able to respond effectively to the emergency situations as they arise.”
– Anthony Williams
The Pulong Buhangin National High School - SDRRMC under the leadership of Mr. Ryan L.
Marcos with the help of members Mr. Joey P Clemente and Mr. Aries C. Guballa, carried out the
installation of Emergency Hotline Signages throughout the school on September 20, 2022. The
purpose of the said work is to spread knowledge not only to the teaching and non-teaching
personnel but also to its students, the importance of knowing the emergency hotlines of each local
government agency that can respond in times of emergency needs.
SDRRMC believes that emergency contact numbers are absolutely necessary to remember
because many unexpected situations arise. Crimes, robberies, accidents, natural disasters, fires,
dangerous fights, and many other situations in our community necessitate immediate action. We
are all aware that most emergency situations necessitate immediate attention in order to avoid a
worsening of the situation. For example, during typhoon, we recall how many Filipinos needed
assistance and dialed emergency hotlines in order for their families to be evacuated due to rising
floodwaters in their homes. These incidents emphasized the importance of remembering the
emergency phone numbers so that we can seek assistance as soon as possible. Also, keep in mind
that dialing the appropriate emergency numbers is one of the steps in many emergencies’
procedure. A phone that automatically connects to emergency services when the receiver is picked
up is one example. Moreover, everyone should be made accountable for this, especially if we
require assistance. So, having an emergency phone number is to save lives, stay alive and have a
chance of survival.
