PROJECT PROPOSAL
TITLE: HAMMERED or Hazard Analysis Mitigation Management for Effective Risk Reduction during Emergency and Disaster.
I. PROPONENT:

II. PROJECT RATIONALE:

Children are the most vulnerable person during catastrophe. Nowadays, the effect of climate change brings
children to danger. As COVID-19 Pandemic remains to affect the Philippines, the National Disaster Risk Reduction
and Management Council (NDRRMC), as the highest organized and authorized body in DRRM in the Philippines,
continues to provide guidance for authorities involved in DRRM and the general public in order to ensure that
impacts of hazards and disasters will continue to lessen amid the pandemic. Several policies have been issued in
order to ensure the health and safety of public servants will be the top priority while essential services during the
new normal.
Many risks associated with hazards can be avoided by the actions we take. This School Disaster Risk Reduction
and Management (DRRM) Manual is designed to guide school heads and administrators in facilitating the protection
of children, education personnel, and education itself. In addition, this Manual guides the development or
improvement of existing policies, practices, protocols and plans at the school level. The list of activities will serve as
minimum guidance for schools to implement DRRM, which could enhance existing practices or require new ones.
This Manual is divided into two booklets. The first booklet covers the Comprehensive DRRM in Basic Education
Framework, including the institutional mechanisms that support it. It also explains the three pillars of the
Framework that will guide the implementation of DRRM in schools. The second booklet provides practical steps and
useful tools to operationalize DRRM
III. PROJECT OBJECTIVES
1. To improve learner's level of understanding on the hazards and potential risk within the school.
2. To increase learner's awareness on the hazards and possible risk inside the school.
3. To engage learners in real-life situation in safety and preparedness activity.
IV. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

School continually provide guidance for authorities involved in DRRM and the general public in order to
ensure that impacts of hazards and disasters will continue to lessen amid the pandemic.
The school will conduct Online Discussion on Children's Awareness on Disaster Preparedness. This will be attended by
all pupils and teachers of the school.
V. PROJECT DURATION
This project will be conducted for the entire year.
VI. TARGET BENEFICIARIES
Elementary Teachers at Mancatian Elementary School.
All Elementary grade level pupil’s.

I. Introduction
In consonance with Republic Act No. 101021, re: Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction andManagement Act of
2010, and DepEd Order No. 21, s. 2015re: DisasterRisk Reduction andManagement Coordination and Information
Management Protocol, all schools are directed toform/reconstitute their School Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management (SDRRM)Committee to spearhead the conduct of Disaster Risk Reduction/Climate Change
Adaptation(DRR/CCA)-related programs/projects/activities in their respective schools.
HAMMERED or Hazard Analysis Mitigation Management for Effective Risk Reduction during Emergency and
Disaster is a project proposal of DRRM School Committee of Mancatian Elementary School to conduct a school safety
assessment using the simplified school safety assessment tool and other related skills in preparing for limited face-to-
face classes amidst a health crisis emergency.
II. Objectives
* Empower the schools and learners in ensuring safety and learning continuity.
* Strengthen the resilience of basic education in the context of natural and human-induced hazards .
III. Highlights of Accomplishments

1. Repairing the possible hazardous place inside the school premises.
2. Orientation of parents and students about the safety school environment.
3. Teachers, parents and students’ cooperation about earthquake drill and other safety measures inside or
outside the school.
