MEKUBE XADE ESTATE GATE ACCESS PROTOCOLS

Revised and Effective: October 21, 2022

RESIDENTS PLEASE NOTE: The cost per plot/household to pay for the Delta Blue gate guarding service is P350
monthly paid to Delta Blue Security. We kindly ask each household to enroll in this service doing your part to
pay the costs of gate guards. Please contact Nicky at Deltablue.co.bw or via WhatsApp at +267 7594 3523 to
subscribe. Monthly fees can be paid via EFT.

Upon enrolling you will be able to have YOUR remote programmed to open the main gates at your leisure and
without any inconvenience. You will also be enrolled in an app on your phone that you can use from anywhere
to open the main gates for your guests, employees, etc. We appreciate each one doing their part to make our
community a safer and more pleasant place to live.

 Gates to be opened every morning from 06:00am – 07:30am and every evening from 16:30
pm to 18:30 pm with unhindered flow of traffic to allow RESIDENTS to get to work without
interruption. Guards should be out of the guard house, standing on their feet at the gate,
waving at those who are leaving and very vigilant during this time CLOSELY monitoring
EVERY vehicle that is entering through the gates. NON-RESIDENTS are still required to stop
and register during these times and guards must make sure no one slips past them.

 From 07:30am – 16:30pm EVERY non-resident entering must register in the visitors’ book.
This will include all domestic workers. The following protocols apply during this time:

o DO NOT automatically open the gate for ANYONE except an emergency vehicle
(Police, Fire, Ambulance). Residents with remotes must open the gates for
themselves when exiting or entering using their remotes. When entering, residents
without remotes must stop outside the gates where you will approach the window of
their car and they must identify themselves by name and plot number. Verify the
information on the master list of residents. Then open the gate.

o Non-residents must register in the book filling in their FULL NAME, Vehicle
Registration number, PLOT NUMBER AND NAME (both are required) of the person
they are visiting and a brief description of the purpose of their visit. The guard then
must log a simple description of the vehicle in the space provided (For example: Red
Honda Fit, or White Toyota backie). If the plot number AND name are unknown to the
visitor they must contact the resident to obtain that information. ANYONE not having
that information should not be allowed access into the community!!!!

 From 18:30pm – 06:00am non-residents trying to enter must be registered OUTSIDE of the
gate in the visitors’ book before gaining access and all other protocols apply.

 Weekends and Public Holidays – Gates to remain closed but all other protocols still apply.

 Please note - all Taxi’s, school Combi’s, utility vehicles HAVE TO SIGN IN once daily to enter
the estate. If they enter at other times in the same day place a tally mark next to their
original sign in.

 Any vehicle carrying garden or construction rubbish, or trash should be denied access unless
you are able to take a photo of the vehicle, the driver, and the registration plate and that
information should be radioed to the guard at the other gate. When the vehicle is exiting the
estate you should confirm that said rubbish is still on the vehicle and if not detain the vehicle
until it can be confirmed that the rubbish was not dumped illegally. We MUST stop the illegal
dumping of rubbish in the estate. This is our first line of defense.
