Guidelines for Missed Test/Exam
• The student must communicate with the concerned instructor within 48 hrs in case
he/she missed to take any of the quizzes/exams. The communication may be sent via
the instructor’s riverside email address, MS Teams chat, and/or messenger.
• Before taking the special test/exam, the student must submit a letter indicating the
reason for the absence signed by the parent/guardian and the proof to support the
reason indicated in the letter. Only absence(s) with valid reason(s) shall be considered.
• The special test is given within seven (7) days after the original test/exam was
administered. Unless the student is still not able to attend/go back to the class within
that time period. The said test should be scheduled during the free time of both the
student and the instructor.
• The student must confirm the schedule with the instructor at least a day prior.
• A score of zero shall be given to the student if he/she fails to take the special test/exam
on the agreed/set schedule if with an invalid reason.
• Honesty is still the best policy.
