Mock Drill Report SITE:KMU

LOCATION: Prepack Corridor

DATE: 21/09/2022

TIME: 16:22 to 18:00 Hours


SCENARIO: The scenario of the incident was leakage of ammonia from cold room evaporative condenser
line at corridor. Assumed rate of leakage of Ammonia is 1.5kg/second and exposure time is 15minutes.
The duration of the drill was two hours.

OBJECTIVES:

The main objectives of the drill were as follows:

1. Testing the On – Site Emergency plan.


2. Verifying the preparedness level of various departments.
3. Identifying gaps and suggesting appropriate corrections.

EMERGENCY SITUATION: Ammonia Leakage EMERGENCY

Ammonia Leakage – Ammonia Leak Mock drill started at 16:22. Emergency information was given by Site

Supervisor by mobile phone to Emergency Contact Person. Emergency response team member made the

communication to directing the occupant to leave work location/ evacuate the work area, and assemble at

the safe assembly point. When all employees Engineer/Supervisor and Workers arrived at the assembly

point. Various rescue techniques were used by the ERT.A briefing was done on Emergency response during

Emergency.

Points to be checked: Line of communication, Total time line for the rescue operation. Check the response

of the entire team which include workforce & the awareness of the work force regarding the emergency

and emergency contact numbers.

Observations:
Positive Notes:
 All the workmen and staff reported to the Assembly point without any panic.
 The evacuation was performed successfully well in time.
 The Refrigeration team used the SCBA and stopped the leakage of Ammonia.
 ERT member has done well and evacuate the Work Location on time.
 The workforce remains calm, while the mock drill was in progress, and showed keen interest to get
knowledge about the emergency.
 Workers were briefed about the emergency response procedure.
 The evacuation team response was quick.
 Emergency Vehicle Ambulance was available at Site.
