ACC, ON or START, the LED indicator of the test probe illuminates.
When the key returns to the position of OFF, the LED indicator of the
test probe goes off.
!WARNING: ACC detection wire (IGN+) must connected.
28
The high-level detection mechanism is: When the vehicle door is closed,
the voltage of door pin switch is low-level. When the vehicle door is
open, the voltage of door pin switch turns into high-level, and the main
unit judges that the door is opened;
The low-level detection mechanism is: When the vehicle door is closed,
the voltage of door pin switch is high-level. When the vehicle door is
open, the voltage of door pin switch turns into low-level, and the main
unit judges that the door is opened;
Method of locating: most door pin switches are negative triggering.
Connect one end of the test probe with the positive electricity and the
other end put on the wire, and the LED indicator of test probe will go
off when the vehicle door is closed. The LED indicator of test probe
will light constantly when one vehicle door is opened.
29
(5) Methods of locating door lock control wires
Location of the door lock control wires: The door lock control wires
consist of locking and unlocking control wires. Generally, they are
located in the wiring harness inside the right front door, or the wiring
harness inside the left or right door side.
Method of locating: The door lock control modes generally include
positive triggering, negative triggering, etc.
!WARNING: The door lock control wire output of MPIP-618W main
unit supports negative triggering only. If the vehicle adopts positive
triggering, the negative signals must be converted into positive signals
through external relay.
Positive triggering: Put one end of the test probe on the positive
electricity and connect the other end respectively with the door locking
control wire and the unlocking control wire. If the door can be opened
and closed, it is positive triggering;
Negative triggering: ground one end of the test probe and connect the
other end respectively with the door locking control wire and the
30
unlocking control wire. If the door can be opened and closed, it is
negative triggering.
31
(2) The connecting of power cord requires that fuse seat among the
installation accessories of connection should be installed within 0.3m
from the joint. Principle of local grounding for the MPIP-618W main
unit is adopted by the ground wire, and the grounding wire must not
exceed 1m long.
32
Magic tape can be used to fix the main unit to the vehicle body.
33
Remarks: Try to install G-mouse as horizontally as possible. Place the
convex upward, and its included angle with the ground must not exceed
15 degrees. Besides, it must be fixed securely.
34
6. Installation of SOS button
The SOS button should be placed between the dashboard and the
steering wheel to facilitate operation of the driver. The SOS button has
adhesive tape stuck to its back. At the time of installation, remove the
adhesive tape and attach it to the intended position. Refer to the
following diagram for the specific installation location:
35
7. Installation of Anti-removal device and Immobilizer
relay
The In-Vehicle terminal is equipped with Anti-removal device and
Immobilizer relay, these components can realize automatic locking and
remote fuel/power cut-off of the vehicle when the in-Vehicle terminal
is dismantled or the vehicle is stolen.
1) If the fuel supply of the vehicle is of “fuel pump” type, the
Anti-removal device and Immobilizer relay should be connected as
shown in “MPIP-618W Port Connection Diagram (for fuel pump)”
in Section VI of the User manual.
2) If the fuel supply of the vehicle is of mechanical “start motor” type,
the Anti-removal device and Immobilizer relay should be connected
as shown in “MPIP-618W Port Connection Diagram (for start
motor)” in Section VI of the User manual.
36
1) After all equipment is installed, insert the fuse into the fuse seat to
power on the MPIP-618W main unit.
2) In the meanwhile start the vehicle to check if equipment in the
vehicle works normally.
3) Upon discovery of any abnormality, power off the MPIP-618W main
unit. Recheck all installation wires or send it to a professional vehicle
service center for check.
4) Log on the “Client software of the monitoring center” or the
“Internet-based WEB vehicle tracking system” to check if the vehicle is
normally online and the positioning is proper. If there are problems,
refer to Section X of the User Manual for problem solving. Contact the
local dealer if the problems cannot be solved.

VIII. Functions of In-Vehicle Terminal
★Real-time monitoring
The in-vehicle terminal is of communication function, able to conduct
data communication with the operation center server as well as realize
real-time monitoring.
★Timed tracking
The user may issue the timed tracking order through the Internet or
desktop monitoring software of computer to track the vehicle position
at a given time.
39
★Vehicle status detection
If the in-vehicle terminal is connected with ACC and door pin switch
wire, the center can check the current status of the vehicle.
★Emergency alarm
In case that the vehicle is robbed or gets involved in severe accident,
the user may press and hold the “SOS button” installed in a concealed
place for about 3 seconds, and the in-vehicle terminal will transmit
information about emergency alarm to the center for help.
★Abnormality alarm
When collision, over speeding, GPS failure, main power cut-off, etc.
occurs, the in-vehicle terminal will report to the center of the
abnormality.
★Regional alarm
The in-vehicle terminal may set up regional parameters. When the
vehicle enters or leaves the pre-set region, the in-vehicle terminal will
report to the center of the abnormality.
40
★Switching off the motor remotely
When it is confirmed that the vehicle is stolen by mobsters, the user
may issue the order of terminating fuel/power remotely through the
Internet or desktop monitoring software of computer to remotely
control switching off of the motor. In addition, it can also remotely
issue order of resuming supply of fuel/power.
Remarks: In order to guarantee the safety of the vehicle and driver, the
system will not execute order of terminating fuel/power until the
vehicle is stopped and the motor is switched off by the driver.
★Anti-removal function
The equipment is provided with a small but smart anti-removal device
which, after connected with the main unit, can realize automatic
locking of the vehicle when the main unit is dismantled.
41
the in-vehicle terminal will make a supplementary report to the server
of the center of the previously stored positioning information.
★Statistics of mileage
The in-vehicle terminal will automatically count up the mileage and
report it to the center.

IX. Notes for Care and Maintenance
43
resume.
7) The main unit has built-in spare battery which will not be activated
and begin working until the equipment is used for the first time and
supplied with external power. After the battery is activated, the
equipment will, when the external power supply is cut off,
automatically switch to operate with power supply from the built-in
battery, and the operation can last for about 10 hours (calculated based
on that the terminal data transmits once every 5 minutes).
8) The terminal equipment can use the accessories designated or
recognized by CASTEL only. Unauthorized accessories may damage
the terminal equipment.
9) If abnormality occurs to the terminal equipment or its accessories,
thus leading to failure of normal operation, please contact the
manufacturer or the local dealer.
