To ensure the continuous operation of the generating plant, including all auxiliary
equipment in a manner which will achieve the optimum thermal efficiency,
without compromising safety, plant availability and reliability. Operate DCS controls
(BOP) and MARK VIe controls systems that are required to control all applicable
plant systems during normal plant operations, start-up, shut down and emergency
operations. Assist the Shift Personnel in the preparation of Permits to Work as
required. Assist in the start-up and commissioning of the power generating plant
equipment.
Analyse plant operating problems and take necessary steps to restore plant to
normal operation or take recommended solutions to the Shift Personnel as
appropriate.
Report immediately to Shift Lead or his delegate whenever an accident occurs
involving serious injury to personnel and when a plant upset occurs which would
result in an extended loss of plant or equipment availability.

Operators.
