About our league

San Antonio Roller Derby league (SARD) is a non-profit amateur sports organization committed to promoting the sport of roller derby with a strong promotion in the power of women's flat-track roller derby in developing the qualities of leadership, sportsmanship, competitive zeal and the drive for inspiring positive athletic female role models from all different backgrounds. We are dedicated to building a strong presence within our community and giving back through regular involvement with local charities. San Antonio Roller Derby has applied for the Womans Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) apprentice program. SARD follows WFTDA rules of play and every skating member of SARD must pass the WFTDA minimum skills skating requirement test and also the WFTDA written assessment before they are allowed to bout. San Antonio Roller Derby is funded by our skaters and volunteers along with donations from our kind and generous sponsors, friends and family. SARD members come from all walks of life; they're professionals, mothers, daughters, students and wives from all ethnicities and all backgrounds.
League Support
Offering sponsorship packages is just one way you can get involved to provide more opportunities for our league to continue to grow. This season our team will be traveling to other cities in Texas, New Mexico, and Louisiana. We offer great sponsorship packages to accommodate business needs.
If you are interested in placing an AD for future bout programs, we offer three AD sizes. An AD space is included with most sponsorship packages. The program size is 5x8 and printed in black and white. These are provided to our spectators, free of charge; at all home bouts. This may include advertisement through Facebook, SARD website, fliers and word of mouth. We will also include a full page AD on the inside front cover of our bout program. We do ask that you allow us to sell our merchandise and tickets to our upcoming bout inside your place of business.
*Please note that we will consider adequate parking and space availability before proceeding with sponsorship.
After Party Sponsor: $250 As our after party sponsor, we will advertise the date, time and location of where our after party will be held. This may include advertisement through Facebook, SARD website, fliers and word of mouth. We will dedicate the back page of our bout program to you and also include a map, with your advertisement and after party information. We do ask that you allow us to leave fliers and/or posters announcing our after party to be held at your location.
