5.2.1 List of Error Messages

No Camera detected.
Displayed when an error occurs in the signal between the camera and computer
(bad connection or broken circuit) or when power supply to the camera is
interrupted.
Corrective Action:
(1) Inspect connections between camera head and computer. Due to the
number of connectors, confirm whether any connectors are loose.
(2) If the error occurs when moving the C-arm, the problem may be a bad
connection.
(3) Try updating the FPGA on the IAPDB board.
(4) Try connecting the camera head directly to the computer using a
commercially available SCSI cable (half pitch 50-pin).
(5) Inspect wiring inside the computer.
(6) If the cause is not determined after confirming the above, try replacing
the IAPDB board, then the camera head.

Connecting the Camera Head Directly to the Computer

Remove only the camera head from the IA unit and connect it directly to the
back of the computer. For instructions on disassembling the IA unit, see
chapter 5.3.11 . The optical system cannot perform initialization without
being connected to the top of the IA unit. Therefore, it must be installed and
wires connected without the camera head. This allows isolating any
defective cables.

5.2-2
5.2 Troubleshooting

The camera Iris is jammed.

If an overcurrent occurs due to an iris jam, for example, the overcurrent is detected
and generates an error. This also occurs after the signal to the camera is
interrupted, then restored, but it will return to normal after initialization finishes in
approx. one minute.
In actuality, it often occurs when the cart cable connector cover is not closed.
Corrective Action:
(1) Confirm the microswitch signal for the cart cable connector cover.
(2) If the message is displayed when switching fluoroscopy modes or
switching from fluoroscopy to radiography, the iris is defective.

GIM communication failure

Appears when an Ethernet cable connection error occurs between the GIM board
and computer (bad connection) after startup is complete.
Corrective Action:
(1) The general communication status can be determined from the LED at
the base of the connector. An orange LED indicates data transmission,
so if it is not illuminated, it means there is a transmission problem. A
green LED indicates data reception, so if it is not illuminated, it means
there is a problem receiving data or a problem with the cable. If the LAN
cable is completely disconnected, LEDs at both side would be orange.
(2) Try substituting the cable with a standard LAN cable (crossover).
(3) Confirm whether power is supplied to the GIM board.
(4) Confirm the status of LEDs on the GIM board.
· LED 1 – Normally OFF. Downloading to FPGA.
· LED 2 – Normally ON. Receiving via Ethernet.
· LED 3 – Normally flashes approx. once per second.
· LED 4 – Normally ON. Transmitting via Ethernet.

Firmware reconstruction successful.

Appears when an Ethernet cable connection error occurs between the GIM board
and computer (bad connection) during startup. This also occurs when power is
switch ON without the cart cable connectee.
Corrective Action: Same as GIM communication error.

5.3.1 Parts List

DIS-200 parts can be replaced in terms of the parts and assemblies listed below.
However, it is not possible to order only the MOTHER board. (This is due to the large
number of compatibility restrictions resulting from model updates.) If the MOTHER
board needs to be replaced, replace the entire PC tower. Furthermore, a custom version
of Windows is required, which precludes installing Windows in the field. To replace
Windows, replace the hard drive where Windows and the application software are
installed.

(Not necessary if already in the [System Manual] mode.)

2. Click [ABS] on the menu in the second column from the left. (An "Enable
ABS Control..." message is displayed, but ignore it.)
ABS Level
Make sure the iris is adjusted before starting this adjustment.

3. Confirm that the [ABS Level] tab was clicked.

4. In the C-arm main panel, select [Normal] and [Continuous], and set [IBS] to
ON.

5. Click the [Run] button. (A "Please activate ..." message will be displayed.)
Then start fluoroscopy. When the "Calibration Step: SUCCESSFUL"
message is displayed after finishing adjustments, shut off fluoroscopy and
click [OK].

NOTE
Use the iris value from when it was adjusted earlier and adjust the ABS Level such
that IBS stabilizes at a Cal Level near 200.
If this adjustment is performed in the manual mode the brightness level at which the
IBS stabilizes can be adjusted, but this not recommended.

ABS Response
6. Click the [ABS Response] tab.
7. Select the [Manual Setting] checkbox. When the [Are You Sure?]
confirmation box is displayed, click [Yes].

8. On the C-arm main panel, select [15 fps] and [Normal], and set [IBS] to ON.
This automatically selects the [Pulsed Fluoro] checkbox on the right side.

9. Of the three diaglog boxes for [Gain], [Lag], and [Lead], set [Gain] to approx.
500 (450 to 500). Set [Lag] and [Lead] to zero. Be sure to move all sliders at
least once before adjusting settings to values indicated above.
10. On the C-arm panel, select [Continuous] and switch fluoroscopy ON for
approx. 1 second. This automatically selects the [Fluoro] checkbox on the
right side.

11. Of the three diaglog boxes for [Gain], [Lag], and [Lead], set [Gain] to approx.
500 (450 to 500). Set [Lag] and [Lead] to zero. Be sure to move all sliders at
least once before adjusting settings to values indicated above.

NOTE
Increasing the [Gain] value will decrease the IBS response rate, but also increases
the risk of overshoot. Therefore, it is not recommended.
