2f. Use the F statistic when deciding whether to support or reject the null hypothesis. The results
of the F test show both the F-value and the critical F-value, and the value calculated based on the
data is called the F-statistic or F-value.
2g. Yes, at 0.05 significance level, May be slight difference in it. A p-value less than 0.05
(typically ≤ 0.05) is statistically significant. This represents strong evidence for the null
hypothesis. This is because the probability that null is true is less than 5% and the result is
random. Therefore, we reject the null hypothesis and adopt the alternative hypothesis.

3a. scatter plot between the sales and advertising expenses for the last four month.
3b. The assumptions are as follows: level of measurement, related pairs, absence of outliers, and
linearity.
Level of Measurement:
To calculate a Pearson correlation coefficient between two variables, both of the variables should
be measured at the interval or ratio level. If the variables are measured at an ordinal level, then
you should instead calculate the Spearman correlation coefficient between them.
Linear Relationship:
To calculate a Pearson Correlation coefficient between two variables, there should exist a linear
relationship between the two variables.
The easiest way to check this assumption is to simply create a scatter plot of the two variables.
Related Pairs:
A Pearson Correlation coefficient also assumes that each observation in the dataset should have a
pair of values.
This assumption is easy to verify. For example, if you are calculating the correlation between
weight and height, make sure that each observation in your data set has a dimension for weight
and a dimension for height.
No Outliers:
Pearson's correlation coefficient assumes that there are no extreme outliers in the data set. This is
because outliers have a significant impact on the calculation of the correlation coefficient.
3d. At using the 0.01 level of significance between the correlation between the sales and
advertising expenses for the last four month, we do not reject null hypothesis.

4a. 1136
4b. 0.4
4c. 46.1700
4d. t=1.9700
4e. At 0.05 significance level, we cannot reject null hypothesis. The z score is in non rejection
area. Critical point is 1.645. So after using workbook, achievement is gained more.
