teacher and learners are both physically present in the classroom. A learning modality that allows the
learners for real-time collaborative activities in a shared physical space. It may be conducted in any
available physical learning space.
Distance learning is a learning delivery modality where learning takes place between the teacher and
the learners who are geographically remote from each other during instruction. In this modality,
materials and resources are given to the learners. Learners do independent learning at home or any
physical space available, by using learning materials that are accessible either online, stored on
CD/DVD/USB Flash drive, or in printed form, or by viewing TV lessons or listening to radio-based
instruction. The teacher supervises and monitors the learner’s progress and provides feedback and
remediation when needed and possible. A learning facilitator provides assistance to the learner.
Blended learning refers to a combination of Face to face learning and distance learning. Face to face
learning can be combined to online distance learning, modular distance learning, and TV/Radio-based
