I. OBJECTIVES At the end of the 40-minute period, 75% of the pupils should be able to:

2. Enumerate some examples of each type of orchard farm.
3. Establish knowledge and display appreciation towards fruit-bearing trees.

IV. PROCEDURES
A. Review previous lesson or presenting Drill: “I Am a Good Follower”
the new lesson Setting of Classroom Rules (5 P’s): Be Positive, Be Productive, Be
Polite, Be Prepared, Be Participative

Value Integration:
Following the rules are important as it eliminates and avoids all distractions
and possible misconduct that might interfere while learning. Most
significantly, obeying classroom rules is one of the most effective ways to
develop into a responsible and disciplined individual.

Review: Present an interactive game “BrainBoom!” to check the previous they have
about the “Elements or factors to be Considered in Planting Trees and Fruit-Bearing
trees”

Direction: Choose the correct answer being described in each number.

1. It is the most important factor which affects the growth of the trees.

2. The main provider of energy in the process of food manufacture of the
plant (Sunlight)
3. The medium for growing in the trees which provides nutrients in plants as it
contains mineral elements necessary for a normal plant growth and

5. These are added to the soil to increase its productivity. Organic fertilizers
are those that come from compost of decayed fruit and vegetables peelings,

B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson Motivation: The teacher presents a game entitled, “Pick Me Up” using a mystery
box with questions in it.

What are these, or what is it?
3. What kind of fruit-bearing trees can you find around your school?

Value Integration: Apart from providing us with the pure happiness of eating fresh
fruit without stepping out of our homes, and giving us additional income for its
fruits, fruit-bearing trees can also contribute to a healthy ecosystem. Fruit trees
produce fresh oxygen, giving you and your family cleaner air to breathe, as well as
encouraging wildlife to flourish. It also upholds the fundamental principles of what
the DepEd envisioned you to become which becoming is “Makakalikasan”.
