First Stage: Set Induction [Pre-Lesson]. (3 minutes) Research based

● Teacher welcomes and great students into the class via Brainstorming
google-classroom platform.
Round Table
● Teacher checking the student’s attendance before
starting the class.
● Teacher ask the students how was their weekend.

● Teacher ask the students do they prefer to do their


grocery at the local mall or just order it online.

Second Stage: Development [Pre-Listening]. (5 minutes)

1. Teaching and learning

● Teacher will present slides and show some picture of


local store.

● Teacher will ask student can they name the store based
on the picture shown in the slides.

● Students will be devided into groups and each group will


be assigned with one picture. (refer appendix 1)

● Teacher will ask each group to list down five items that
they will buy from the store and state their reason for
each item they want to buy from the store.

● Student can discuss among them and take turns to give


their answer. .

● Students can use google to discuss their answer in


groups if they are not familiar with the picture which
assigned to them.

2. Students’ Activity [While Listening] (12 minutes)


● Teacher will present the next slide based on textbook
page 41, exercise B. Students also can refer their own
text book on the same page.

● Student will be given 1 minute to read the whole


passage.

● Teacher will instruct the students that they will be


answering the worksheet they just read by an audio.

● Teacher will inform that they audio will be played twice.

● After the audio had been played once, the students are
given 2 minutes to answer the worksheet.

● Students can discuss their answers among their group


members.

● The teacher announce to the class that the audio will be


played once more and tell them to finalise their answer
and ready to discuss the answer together after this.

Last Stage: Conclusion [ Post-Listening] (5 minutes)

● Teacher will ask each group’s representative to submit


their answer and check it.

● Teacher will go through the question one by one and


collect answers from their student stimultaniously.

● Teacher will explain on the question that the student


answered incorrectly.

Post Lesson

● Teacher asked student their opinion about this activities.

● Teacher asked student what is their favourite part and


difficulties they faced while doing this activities.

● Teacher give students some homework before end the


lesson.

Teacher’s
Reflection
For the pre-lesson stage, the teacher should wait for a couple of
minute before begin the lesson because some student might
having problems with the connection.

In the Pre-listening stage, the fluency and ransition from one topic
to another should be on point so the students would not be
distracted. Grammartical error while speaking should be reduce
because students tends to catch on the teacher’s words. The
important part is to asure students gets on the same page as we
activating the scemata on the pre-lesson stage. Hence, the fluency
of speaking is a mandatory so the students will be more attracted
to this topic.

The teacher should group the student by the proficency level. It


may help the students to build more confident and be more
comfortable to present the speaking task. In the listening part, the
audio played should not be to fast because some students may
find it hard to catch on the answer. While discussing the answer,
teacher can play the audio again so the students can trace the
mistake they made in the answer sheet.

The challenging part in performing this lesson is for the student to


assure the student react to our question. Good voice projection is
a must to ensure students are on a great mood to sit for this class.

Securing the time table is also an important part to perform


listening clas. Listening class is suitable to be held before noon or
on the last period of the class. Student may get too overwhelm if
the sit for listening class so early in the morning.
