INTRODUCTION
A laser is used in the process of laser cutting to vaporize materials, producing a cut edge.
despite being often utilized in industrial manufacturing applications. The mechanism behind
laser cutting is the typical use of optics to focus the output of a high-power laser. The created
material or laser beam is directed using laser optics and CNC (computer numerical control).
A commercial laser used for cutting materials uses a motion control system to adhere to a
CNC or G-code of the design that needs to be cut onto the material. The material is exposed
to the focused laser beam, which causes it to either melt, burn, vaporize, burn away, or be
blown away by a jet of gas.
The applications of laser beam machining is for welding, cladding, marking, surface
treatment, drilling, and cutting among other manufacturing processes. It is used in the
automobile, shipbuilding, aerospace, steel, electronics, and medical industries for precision
machining of complex parts.

REAL PICTURE
• The laser beam machining process is used for making very small holes.
• Gas Lasers
• Chemical Lasers
• Semiconductor Lasers
• When the electron returns to lower energy state, two identical photons are emitted.
CONCLUSION
Laser beam processing is one of the most widely used processing. Innovative processing
methods manufacture complex and precise shapes with few materials Tolerance. The focus is
on laser drilling, laser cutting and laser induced bending. Execution of LBM that requires
professional know-how and operability It costs a lot. A lot of it will come out improving LBM
and its supporting processes Optimization technology with a few new things LBM research
areas. Evolution of modelling the technology has opened up new research areas for LBM
improve the performance of the LBM process.
