TAKYAN
A Filipino local game wherein boys attempt to kick a shuttlecock
looking TAKYAN which is basically made from a washer like weighted flat
object with plastic strips as its stabilizer. A game similar
Introduction to footbag or hackysack where players aim to keep the shuttlecock from
touching the ground.
They would wear their slippers on the sides of their feet and use
this area for striking or kicking the "shuttlecock" again and again and again,
in fact the game is about the most kicks made. A popular old time
"analogue" kids’ pastime because it’s easy to make, challenging, and really
fun.
Activity No. 1
Making of Takyan
Procedures of the Activity:
• Prepare washers (tingga) with hole, twine (lambo), and fire to hot
the material in making takyan.
• Cut the lambo to its preferred size like 2-3 inches, wrap the lambo
Activity and insert it in the hole of washer and hot the lambo with fire.
• When heating the takyan try to form the tip of the washer to glue
the tip.
• Video record the making of takyan, with voice over of the
procedures (blog type is allowed), this will be your output.
• Limit your time from 3-4 minutes to have less mb’s in submission.
• Submit your output through Google classroom or any platform
online.
