1.‘Education empowers a person’ etabrate this

statement giving examples of your personal
experience.
Education empowers a person. Elaborate this statement giving
examples of your personal experience. Ans. In my view ,
education empowers a person how to this .If any educated
person have some money , he can’t think to spend this but
uneducated entirely spend at this time. An educated farmer
can grow more croP production than unedecated farmer.
Every now and then I think about my education from
kindergarten through senior year of high school and I wonder
where I would be and who I would be without it. I have
realized that those thirteen years of my life were essential to
my development as an individual, for they have shaped me
into the person I am today.

Education provides people with guidance and practical skills

necessary in everyday life. For example, when we are
purchasing something, we deal with money. Who do we owe
the quick calculation we make as we pay for these items?
Thanks to our first, second, and third grade teachers for
teaching us to add, subtract, multiply, and divide at such a
young age.
We need to communicate with others in our communities,
solve problems, and attain goals. Around middle school, we
start growing up into young adults, which requires us to
expand our learning. For example, the adding and subtracting
becomes more complicated as we confront difficult word
problems about real life situations, and we are only able to do
the math if we can read the
Page No.2

word problem. Obviously, in middle school everything learned in

earlier academic grades begins to come together.
Yet, the education does not stop at middle school, for high school
really puts all the basic skills from elementary and middle school to
work as the assignments and the exams become more challenging.
We do not only learn about reading, writing, history, and math, we
learn about the people around us as we associate with different
personalities, and as we see what we have grown up to be and
what we want to be later in life. Accordingly, the high school years
are a time when teachers emphasize the importance of graduating
and attending college in order to have a “successful future.”

2. write an email to your friend living a broad stating

the effects of Covid-19 in your society.

My Dear Friend,
Hope all of you are keeping well and staying safe. I have been
watching the news every day to keep track of every information
about COVID-19, and the number of people affected is increasing
and decreasing at its own pace. I was so concerned when I saw that
COVID rates are increasing in your area.
People have become a lot more lethargic and careless now, and we
can do nothing but keep ourselves safe. So see to it that you wash
and sanitize your hands every time you are back home after an
outing. Try not to make physical contact with anyone, even if the
people are well known to you. Wear your mask always and
maintain social distance. Try not to use public transport for the
time being and make sure everyone at home takes care of
themselves too. Also, get your vaccine shots as soon as possible.
It has been a really long time since we met each other.

pandemic has brought into our lives is over soon so that we can
meet each other.
Write to me when possible. Convey my regards to everyone at
home.

3.magine that you are a chief guest of the program

organized by the local government on the occasion
of the environmental day write a 10 minute speech.

Greetings and Salutations to one and all present here,

I am Tapesh Jaishi, Coordinator of Maina Devi Foundation and its
my sheer privilege to be the chief guest of this glorious event
organised by Shree Padmodaya Secondary School on the
occasion of environment day.

I am delighted to see young students working for the protection

and promotion of the environment. Before I begin talking about

the environment and its importance, I would like to elaborate a
few things about the organization that I work for that is Maina Devi
Foundation.

Maina Devi Foundation is a non-profit, non-government social

organization committed to improving environmental sustainability
from the grass-root level through participation and
empowerment. It was established in the far-western part of Nepal
at Lamkichuha Municipality-3, Kailali in the year 2074 BS, and was
registered in 2077 under the Organization Registration Act, 2034,
Section 4.
Page No.4

From its humble beginnings, Maina Devi Foundation has grown

into a vibrant organization working with a range of people
across multiple sectors with more than one lakh volunteers.
Maina Devi Foundation implements programs and campaigns
in various sectors, specifically in the environmental sector,
prominently in urban areas, and social works catering to the
needs of vulnerable communities, prominently in rural areas.
The organization believes that there is no simple and single
solution to reduce/eradicate environmental issues. As such, in
order to overcome issues related to the environment, it is
necessary to address the range of issues from the grass-root
level with a collective effort. Tackling issues in an integrated,
sustainable manner, Maina Devi Foundation aims at improving
the current condition of the environment and improving lives.

As an activist, I have been working at Maina Devi Foundation in

proximity of youths like you all while promoting the welfare of
environment. When i visit foreign countries, I see the native
people as well as tourist being couscous about environment
and making sure that they dont litter the environment.
However, it agonises me greatly to see Nepali people not being
environment conscious and recklessly littering the cities. The
pollution in the major cities including the capital Kathmandu is
ever-growing and has reached health hazardous limits. Likewise,
even the tourist destinations get polluted when it gets viral in
social medias. In the other hand, both the federal and the local
governments have taken minimal measure to control pollution
of the environment and effectively manage waste.

Page No.5
In this regard, It delights me to see young students taking
initiative. Your small actions can have ripple effects. The
protection of the environment is directly linked to our health and
well-being. You are not only creating a healthy environment but
also developing healthy live style around you and the people
around you. In the longer run, it's contributing towards
mitigating climate change and global warning, Neat and tidy
environment also plays a vital role in lure tourists and promoting
the beauty of our country.

Like humans, a healthy lifestyle is beyond imagination without a

clean environment. I would also like to invite you students to my
organization Maina Devi Foundation so that we can join hands
and work together for the conservation of the environment.
Thank you so much for providing me with the opportunity to
speak.

Have a great day, Thank you.

the effects of earthquake in your society.

subject : about the effects of earthquake in our society.

To the editor,
The Kathmandu Post
Kantipur Publications
Thapathali, Kathmandu

The earthquake itself is not the tragedy that has befallen my

country.
Nepal is located directly on top of a significant fault zone that
connects the Indian and Eurasian continental plates.
This same power that created the Himalayas' beautiful grandeur
is also responsible for a slew of big earthquakes in Nepal's
history.
Indeed, earthquakes measuring greater than or equal to 8.0 on
the Richter scale have struck Nepal every 80 years or so since
1255.
Page No.7

The ground shifts under us at the command of a

geological clock, according to history.
Before we steadily began to change things, history
predicted that Nepal would be an impoverished country,
built on decades of political exclusion.
The tragedy of the earthquake is that our poverty has
prevented us from preparing for something we all knew
would happen: politicians have, for the most part, focused
on creating a more inclusive political structure; the
average Nepali has focused on survival and making it
from one day to the next. And it is the rural poor that
have been hurt the hardest with the earthquake.
While there is no question I’m still left in emotional tatters
when I hear the frightened voice of my normally
composed grandfather telling me he’s fine even though
he’s sleeping in the cold outdoors, and while I’m still
distraught when my father tells me groggily from getting
three hours of sleep that the hospital he works at is
overwhelmed, it is the pain of the average Nepali that
affects me the most.
It is when I watch a video of a porter coming back to his
village and finding his home a pile of rubble, his wife and
daughter buried underneath, crying with his face in his
hands that I am brought to tears, as I come to terms with
the pain of human loss compounded by poverty.

Page No.8

It is incredibly difficult to fully comprehend what an earthquake

of this scale has done to an already poor and desperate Nepal. In
fact, we’re having trouble even reaching and assessing the more
rural parts of the country, especially those closer to the epicenter,
in Sindhupalchok, Dhading and Gorkha. Whatever information we
have gleaned from these areas paints an unbelievably bleak
picture, wherein entire villages have crumbled to the ground, and
help to these areas has been anything but immediate. While it’s
imperative to recognize that suffering extends beyond
Kathmandu, in Kathmandu itself, hospitals are overrun, food and
electricity is lacking and shelter is hard to find.
It’s hard to say the situation is not desperate. Initial estimates by
the U.S. Geological Survey suggest that the earthquake has
caused infrastructure damage that will put Nepal’s stuttering
economy back by a decade; the loss of cultural monuments in a
country so strongly connected with religion and spirituality is
something incalculable in its effects. The misery and suffering for
poor Nepalis—the current death toll of 4,000 is anything but close
to actual figures—is something we will never be able to put a
number to, and will haunt us for the decades to come.
In a place where a dollar goes a very long way, a dollar today in
highly desperate times will go another mile. A number of
international organizations are already on the ground, working
hard in chaotic conditions to help those in need. Asking for your
assistance, we note that your contribution will not only provide
food for the hungry, or shelter for those without homes; it will
also provide hope to a nation that needs plenty of hope to make
it past this horrific ordeal.
Expecting prompt action,
Tapesh jaishi

5.Do you think that art and literature are

important assets of a country ? Give reasons.

Art and literature are very important assets of our country. It is a

form of human expression to express the reality of our society.
Artist explores his/her ideas, feelings and experience through it
to improve the quality of a country. Because of art and literature
human beings can explore their inner feelings and emotions. So,
it helps to give an outlet to human emotions. They can improve
the quality of a nation. Art and literature is an important tool to
communicate with a country.

Art and literature can lead and uplift skills on society with their
artistic works. Artists are the most important members of our
society. They give innovative ideas for better development of a
country with their future vision. Leonardo da Vinci had
mentioned the importance of art as 'the queen of all sciences
communicating knowledge to the generations of the world'.

Art and literature influence society by changing opinions,

instilling values and providing experiences across space and
time. Arts like painting, sculpture, music, literature often
functions as a collective memory of our society. We can easily
know our society's history by studying art and literature of past.
So, it is a valuable asset of a country.

''The End''

Thank you
