This is to express my intent to apply for the position of Corrections Officer 1 within your
institution which was advertised not only online but during my college years, as I am a graduate
of Bachelor of Science in Criminology. This position seems to fit very well with my education,
experience and interest.

The position was assigned to perform, to protect the public by safekeeping and reforming
persons under the custody, adhering to international standards of corrections service because I
believe that as a Correction Officer it is also providing discipline and stability to people in those
facilities and serve as a role model and educator. The rehabilitation and the ability to transform
criminals into law-abiding citizens. Being a correctional officer can make a positive impact on
your community.
 
I see myself working and being part of the organization as I have learned and gained knowledge
about the organization. I am a Registered Criminologist and that is very much aligned with the
aforementioned qualifications you are looking for, I am confident that I can perform the job
effectively. Furthermore, I am genuinely interested in the position. Your institution has an
excellent reputation and comes highly recommended to me.
