Please note that one player will be given one (higher) prize only. For rating-based category
prizes, all the players below that particular rating category will be considered even though
there is another below rating category is available.

Eligibility
Open to all players. Foreign Federation players mandatorily have a FIDE ID before
registering for the event.

For GMs, IMs, WGMs, WIMs : Free
All foreign rated players above 1800 rating : Free
Rated 2000 & above Rs. 5000/-
Rated below 2000 Rs. 5500/-
All Delhi Players (Without accommodation) Rs. 5000/-

The last date of entry: 10th Mar 2023

Entries with late fee of Rs. 500 20th Mar 2023

There will be 50% of entry fee concession for players from North & Eastern States and
Andaman if they register before 10th Mar 2023.

No request towards waiver of entry fee or late fee will be entertained.

Tournament Rules:
System of Play:
The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE Swiss System
with 10 rounds. Accelerated pairing may be used for the first three rounds.
Time Control :
90 Minutes plus 30 second increment from move 1 for entire game.

Default Time (Walk Over Time)
The default time will be 30 minutes
Draw Offer
Players can’t make an agreed draw before 30th black move.
Tie Break:

In case of a tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall come in to effect. The Cash prizes however will
not be shared.

Electronic Devices

All electronic items including wrist watches (all type of watches) are not allowed in the
tournament hall.

Fair Play Regulations

FIDE Fair Play Regulations will be in force and players are obliged to respect the rules.

Entry Registration

Players can pay the entry fee and submit the entries through Delhi Chess Association
online payment portal available at www.delhichess.com through
https://chessfee.com/tmt_details.php?id=581 (preferred mode of entry registration)

Players can also pay the entry fee directly to the following account through NEFT and
forward the entry form along with transaction receipt. Please note that cash deposit in
account will not be entertained.

Entry Form
It is mandatory to forward the entry form in the given format for accepting the entries along
with prescribed entry fee in case the entry is made through NEFT mode.

AICF Registration:
All Indian players must be registered with AICF for the year 2022-23 before the registration
deadline to participate in the tournament. Those who not registered with AICF, required to
do AICF registration online at https://prs.aicf.in/players before sending their entry
registration

Accommodation
All GMs will be provided free hotel* accommodation on double sharing basis.

All IMs/WGMs/WIMs/Players above 2200 rating will be provided free hotel accommodation
on double sharing basis.

All other participants will be provided free accommodation on triple sharing basis/dormitory
accommodation for entire duration of the event.

Weather:
The climate of Delhi is subtropical. The weather in Delhi in March is not very humid and
sunny with an average temperature of 14 degree Celsius to 30 degree Celsius.

Reporting & Venue :

Players who require accommodation are to report at Hotel KC Plaza, 5588, Basant Lane,
Paharganj, New Delhi (Opposite to New Delhi Railway Station and Near Karnail Singh
Stadium) as per arrival schedule.

 ACCOMMODATION

GMs :-

1. Please select your choice of roommate for double sharing accommodation free of
charges from confirmed list of players with mutual consent. This includes three meals.

2. If want to stay in single room or with an accompany pay ₹45000/- for entire duration
of tournament. This includes three meals.

IMs/ WGMs/WIMs :-

1. Please select your choice of roommate for double sharing accommodation free of
charges from confirmed list of players with mutual consent.

2. If want to stay in single room pay ₹20000/- for superior deluxe room and ₹10000/-
for deluxe room for entire duration of tournament.

Other Players:-

1. Please select your choice of roommates for triple sharing accommodation free of
charges from confirmed list of players with mutual consent.

2. If you want to stay in official hotel/similar hotel (GMs are staying) ₹45000/- need to
be paid per person for double sharing accommodation with three meals for entire duration
of tournament.

3. In other hotels if you want to stay in double occupancy (Option 1 : ₹4500/- each &
Option 2 : ₹3000/- each) for entire duration of stay.

4. If the player want to stay with guardian in double occupancy (Option 1 : ₹12000/-,
Option 2 : ₹8000/- Option 3 : ₹5000/-) for entire duration of stay.

 COVID PROTOCOL

1. All players are required to mandatorily adhere the Covid Protocol issued by
Government of India/Government of Delhi at the time of tournament.
2. Any symptomatic players will be removed from the tournament as pre-
caution. All players are obliged to obey this rule and no protest can be made
against this decision of Organising Committee.
3. All Officials and Arbiters will be fully vaccinated.
4. Sanitization of Chess Board and Chess pieces will be carried out at regular
intervals.
5. Parents and accompanying persons are not allowed inside tournament hall
at all times.
6. Delhi Chess Association take all the measures for safe tournament
environment. However, in case any untoward situation arises, the players will not
ask damages from Delhi Chess Association.
7. Due to any unforeseen scenario, if the event needs to be cancelled, then
DCA’s obligation is limited to refunding the entry fee paid by the players.
8. By enrolling for the events, the players are abide by all the terms and
conditions of the tournament for participation.
