    CONNECTING BRIDGES

    SEI 25 MW CHARANKA, GUJARAT


    1. Objective
    Installation of connecting bridges in 18.75 MWp of the solar array in SEI 25 MW plant. There are 2 types
    of MMS structures and the procedure for both structures have been considered.

    The connecting bridge consists of the following:

    1. L-section 40 x 25 x 2 mm with ridges every 100 mm [Pre-galvanized]


    2. Clamps – 15 x 50 x 35 x 2 mm
    3. SS / GI Fasteners – M6

    2. Tools Required
    The following tools are required:

    1. Hand Grinding Machine


    2. Portable Welding Machine
    3. Rubber Mallet
    4. Cutting Pliers
    5. Drilling Machine

    The following PPE are required:

    1. Hand gloves
    2. Safety shoes
    3. Safety helmet
    4. Safety goggles

    3. Procedure for connecting bridges in Trina Module Table
    The connecting bridges are to installed in the following method:

    1. The row in which the connecting bridges need to be installed has to be identified. The distance
    between adjacent tables, and the height difference between tables are measured.
    2. Based on the measured values the connecting bridge L-sections are cut to length and fabricated
    as required at site.
    3. They are placed on the module frame on the top and bottom and clamps are used to hold them
    in place.
    4. The rubber mallet is used to ensure proper fitment of the L-section on C-clamp.
    5. Additionally, M6 bolts are used to fasten them to the purlin of the MMS by using M6 fasteners.

    4. Procedure for connecting bridges in Astrofield Modules

    The connecting bridges are to be installed in the following method:

    1. The row in which the connecting bridges need to be installed has to be identified. The distance
    between adjacent tables, and the height difference between tables are measured.
    2. Based on the measured values the connecting bridge L-sections are cut to length and fabricated
    as required at site.
    3. The fabricated L-section will be positioned on the top and bottom purlins and M6 fasteners are
    used to lock the same in place.
