Love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting
to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons
of the Most High, because He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be
merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
Luke 6:35-36
This Sunday’s gospel end his Sermon on the Mount with a statement on
love. For me in this sermon, we have been reminded that we are blessed
so that we can be a blessing to others even our enemies. Love is at the
heart of the Christian journey. We are called to love God and each other.
As what God say’s love your enemies, so in this statement we need to love
our enemies instead of hating them pray them. We must learn to love as
God has loved us with forgiveness and mercy. God’s unconditional love
calls us to be members of His Kingdom here on earth. As we strive to be
faithful to God’s call, we fine completeness. Always remember that we
are not perfect, but God continues to collaborate with us in our search for
God’s perfect will in our lives.
"Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to them who hate you, and pray for
those who spitefully use you and persecute you
