Busy 6a for the investigation to describe the necessity of light. Inform students
about

the required objects for the investigation. Instruct members of each group to
bring

the objects to the school. The students can bring any items/objects to school to

students if it is

required. Brief them about the role of investigator and observer in a team of
scientists.

Ask the students to set up the objects as decided.

Ask students to conduct the investigation, and ask probing questions to

encourage the

students to focus on the main aspects of investigation.

Compare the observation you have made with having more light and less
light/no light.

Conduct the extended discussion accordingly focussing on the amount of

light/no light

and the ability to see the objects clearly.

Ask the students how they feel about the observations made without the lid?
Ask them to

explain why they felt that way.

15 min Activities “YOU DO” – Challenging/meaningful independent tasks

Let each student share the observations with the whole class.
