How to verify and confirm registered units on the student portal


1. Navigate to https://portal.ku.ac.ke
Click on LOGIN, and then click on ‘Student Portal Homepage’ as shown below;

2. On the student’s portal login page, enter your username and password as shown below. The
username has already been provided to you in your email address. Once you enter the credentials,
please click login
3. On the homepage click on Academics then proceed to click on Registration as shown by the
arrow.

4. On the page, your registered units will be displayed as shown below highlighted in Yellow colour. The
registered units are in status Registered
If you realize that you have a unit that has not been registered or you have a unit registered but you are
not taking it, please submit a ticket via https://support.ku.ac.ke/ and request that the unit be registered
or be removed.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR STUDENT PORTAL PASSWORD.


Step 1: Navigate to https://portal.ku.ac.ke
Click on LOGIN, and then click on ‘Student Portal Homepage’ as shown below;

Step 2: On the student’s portal login page, enter your username and password as shown below. The
username has already been provided to you in your email address. Once you enter the credentials,
please click login
Step 3: While logged in to the Student portal account, click on my profile then change password as shown below.

Step 4: Re-enter your old password and type your new one in the fields below and click on change password
You will get a confirmation that your new password has been successfully updated.

NOTE: If you have forgotten your password, please raise a support ticket via support.ku.ac.ke.
Our support team will help you reset your password.
