1. Abstract:
In this project we made a fire retardant glove. Fire-retardant clothes are made out of special
materials that are designed to keep fires from spreading. The material used to make glove is with cowhide
leather on palm with para-Aramid (kevlar) , Aluminum coated on back on the glove. We made both
pattern (Digital and Manual ) and compare both . At the end we concluded that digital pattern making has
high efficiency and less fabric wastage.

2. Introduction:
When your work brings you near fires, flames, and high temperatures, fire-retardant clothing is some of
your most important gear. Fire-retardant clothes are made out of special materials that are designed to
keep fires from spreading. These materials use several different techniques to prevent burns. These
clothes are like most items and they will burn when the conditions are right. However, flame-retardant
clothes do offer protection from high temperatures, thermal conditions, and intermittent flames.

3. Material used
para-aramid (Twaron, Kevlar)

High performance polyethylene (HPPE) (Dyneema, Spectra),

Special polyvinyl acetate (PVA) yarns.

4. Material used for FR Glove:

Glove made with cowhide leather on palm with para-Aramid (kevlar) , Aluminum coated on back
on the glove.

5. Measurement:
 Width of one piece of glove 15cm
 Length of glove 35cm
 1st finger length is 7cm
 2nd finger length is 9cm
 3rd finger is 9.5 cm
 4th finger is 8.5 cm
 Thumb is 14cm from the palm

items, but nowadays people also concentrate on the comfort level of the pants. There are three methods of
Pattern Making which includes Drafting, Draping, and Flat paper pattern making.

DIGITAL PATTERN

8. Introduction:
Welcome to this tutorial on creating a digital pattern for a 5-pocket denim using Tukatech. Tukatech
is a powerful software used in the fashion industry for creating patterns, grading, and marker making.
With Tukatech, you can design and develop patterns for various types of garments, including jeans,
jackets, and shirts, among others. In this tutorial, we will be focusing on creating a pattern for a 5-
pocket denim, a classic style that has been popular for decades. We will walk you through the steps of
creating a digital pattern from the given measurements. This tutorial will provide you with the
necessary skills to create a digital pattern for a 5-pocket denim.

9. Tools:
 Add point tool
 Moving tool
 Curving tool
 Pencil tool
 Quick seam
 Grain line

11.Results:
At the end we observed that digital pattern making has high efficiency and less fabric wastage
then manual pattern making. And digital pattern making has more accurate then manual pattern making.

12.Conclusion:

At the end we observed that digital pattern making has high efficiency and less fabric wastage
then manual pattern making. And digital pattern making has more accurate then manual pattern making.
Because in digital pattern making, we use computer tools to make a pattern and it has less chances of
mistake and more efficient and accurate.

13. Discussion:
Overall, the study suggests that digital pattern-making technology offers significant benefits in
terms of efficiency and cost-effectiveness, particularly for large-scale production of fire retardant gloves.
However, the use of digital patterns may require a certain level of technical skill and investment in
software and hardware. Ultimately, the choice between manual and digital pattern-making methods will
depend on the specific needs and goals of the manufacturer. Both approaches have their place in the
industry and can be used in combination to achieve the best results.
