Computerized Pattern Making
Computerized Pattern Making
• Usually patterns are first constructed in the middle or large size and
then graded to small or extra large size accordingly to the order.
• Patterns are graded according to size charts which present the sizes
and the average measurements of the population group for which the
garments are intended.
COMPUTERIZED GRADING
• At first grade rules are stored in the computer memory and then the
computer can automatically develop pattern sets for all sizes using the
direction given in the grade chart.
• The pattern maker guides a cursor around the edges of the sample
pattern on a digitized table. At each of the key points, pushing a
button to record a grade point.
• Each point is cross referenced by a grade-rule table stored in the
computer, which enlarges or reduces the pattern automatically
according to the predetermined direction.
• If the pattern was originally made by computer, data are already in
the computer and can be enlarged or reduced automatically.
COMPUTERIZED MARKER PLANNING
• In this method, every component of patterns is kept in the memory of
the computer and Grade rule is also mentioned.
• Then the computer makes the marker by its pre-fashioned
programming technique.
• The information of patterns can be stored by

• TUKA cad allows the user to accurately build patterns, grade rules and markers for
single styles or entire lines. It is the advanced pattern making, grading and making
system that will streamline your production process and reduce operating expenses.
Built-in audio/video help and makes it simple.
Adavntages:
• Within TUKAcad, users have the ability to import and export multiple file formats.
TUKAcad files can be exported to DXF, AAMA, or ASTM.
• It Automatically generate pattern cards, measurement charts, and piece lists in Excel
that travel with the pattern file.
AccuMark :
• The AccuMark Pattern Design Software by Gerber Technology is specifically
designed to provide a good quality performance mainly in the fashion industry.
The pattern design software has been the reliable system for fashion designers
which ensures a high and precise measurement and patterns.
• The users can easily operate the software due to its easy and quick to use
functionality which keeps the designers or users from consuming too much
time. The users can also easily digitize their existing hard patterns into the
AccuMark system using the GERBER digitizer XLd manual digitizing system or
AccuScan automated digitizing system. Through the AccuMark pattern design
software, the users can always rely on the repository of the patterns to minimize
its loss due to a disaster.
