He studied under prominent scholars in Algeria and Tunisia, establishing himself as a leading figure. Abu Al-Yaqdan
He is Sheikh Ibrahim bin Issa Hamdi Abu Al-Yaqdan. He was
born in Iqranrn Palace (Al-Qararah) on 29 Safar 1306 AH / 5 November 1888 AD. He began his scientific career with the book in his hometown of Qarara, where he memorized the Qur’an and memorized it with Hajj Ibrahim bin Kasi, then studied at the institutes of Sheikh Hajj Omar bin Yahya and Sheikh Hajj Ibrahim Al-Abriki. Returns to the councils of science and scholars, where he moved to the Qutb Institute of Imams Sheikh Mhamed bin Youssef Atfayesh at Yazan in Mzab in the year 1325 AH / 1907 AD, and he was one of his most prominent students. And when he was filled with knowledge and knowledge, he yearned for the knowledge of the transfer, so he went to the part of Tunisia, where the Al-Zaytouna Mosque was, in the year 1330 AH / 1912 AD and headed the first Algerian Mozabite scientific mission in Tunisia, then returned to Algeria at the beginning of the First World War, and then headed the mission again from the year 1917 AD until 1925 AD. He is considered the first Algerian patriot to establish a modern national printing press in Algeria, called the Arab Press. Most of the national Arab literature, reformist newspapers and revolutionary publications were printed in it. Besides that, it was a cultural club and a national forum for men of thought and media in Algeria. The Arab Press, and in addition to this, he was 1 one of the founding administrative leaders of the Association of Algerian Muslim Scholars. He was repeatedly elected to manage this association, as he was appointed on behalf of the Secretariat of Money. He was also a prominent fighter in the Tunisian Free Constitutional Party, and his personal friendship with the leader of Abdelaziz al-Thaalbi was linked. Sheikh Abu Al-Yaqdan is considered the pioneer of the Algerian mujahideen press, as he issued eight national Islamic newspapers in the Arabic language between 1345-1357 AH / 1926-1938 AD. The French colonialism overthrew them one after the other, which are respectively: M’zab Valley – M’zab – Maghreb – Al- Nour – Al-Bustan – Al-Nibras - The nation - Al-Furqan. When colonialism prevented his journalistic activity, he devoted himself to writing and social, cultural and religious activities, which resulted in nearly fifty authors, between printed and manuscripts. He was paralyzed in the year 1376 AH / 1957 AD, but his work did not paralyze and his cultural, social and educational activities always continued until he passed away in Qararah on Friday 29 Safar 1393 AH / 30 March 1973 AD, may God have mercy on him.
