    San Andres Elementary School was conducted its first school level reorientation seminar on Gender
    and Development last March28,2022. The aim of the said re-orientation is to inform Teachers the mandate
    of GAD,gender sensitivity and the awareness on rights, duties, obligations and responsibilities of every
    individual.
    Among the topics discussed were:
    1. Gender and Development Concepts
    2. Sex and Gender
    3. Gender Fair Education
    4. Gender Equality in the Classroom
    The orientation was started with an opening prayer through audio visual presentation, it was followed
    by the singing of the nationalistic song and followed by the recognition of the participants by Ma. Paz D.
    Tacong. Our beloved School Head Mrs. Gina V. Espina gave her message and challenged everyone on how
    to become sensitive in terms of inclusivity.
    Mrs. Ma. Paz D. Tacong, the designated School GAD Coordinator and a teacher facilitator of the said
    orientation discussed on the topics Gender and Development Concepts, Sex and Gender, Gender Fair
    Education, Gender Equality in the Classroom. With her innovative style on her lecture, she made the
    participants very active and lively leading to their ‘maximum participation and learning. The orientation
    ends successfully and free of enthusiasm. The moderator of the day was Mrs. Ruela I Abo-ol.
    The school re-orientation ended exactly 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon.
