    Background
    A number of school learners who have just accomplished their
    primary school level are finding it difficult to get a good
    boarding school place for form one due to the fact that they are
    unable to correctly write an application letter. There is need for
    grade six learners to prior know how to write an application
    letter so that they will be enrolled in boarding schools which
    offer exceptional academic studies that may positively
    transform their lives for good

    Research Questions
    -define the term “boarding school “
    -Name six boarding schools in Zimbabwe
    -Collect and attach a picture of a boarding school

    Part A
    -Boarding school is a school that provides accommodation and
    meals for pupils during term line or arrangement by which
    children live at school during the school term.It is a school
    where pupils live within premises while being given formal
    instruction. The word boarding is used in the sense of room and
    board, i.e. lodging and meals.As they have existed for many
    centuries, and now extend across many countries, their
    functioning, codes of conduct and ethos vary greatly. Children
    in boarding schools study and live during the school year with
    their fellow students and possibly teachers or administrators.
    Some boarding schools also have day students who attend the
    institution by day and return off-campus to their families in the
    evening
    -The best boarding schools in Zimbabwe are Falcon College,
    Peterhouse, Arundel, Allan Wilson, Goromonzi and Heritage
    school
    -Passing your zimsec, Keeping conversations positive and
    encouraging healthy living must be aquired when going to
    boarding
    -Advantages of being enrolled at a good boarding school are
    challenging academics, peer learning, smaller class sizes,
    personal growth and social maturity. It also teaches basic life
    skills. Students learn how to balance a lot of activities while in
    boarding school. The purpose of boarding is to develop the
    total child. Children living away from home learn the basics of
    time management and how to balance their involvement in
    tasks.
    -Disadvantages of learning at a day school are transportation,
    involvement at school and a child in day school is pampered by
    the parents
