DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH GRADE 10

I- Objective
At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
a) Identify the types of claim through discussion;
b) Develop a concern in the society by presenting their claims on the latest issues
in our community;
c) Write an essay for a particular thing or issue in our community based on their
chosen claim.

- A claim is the main argument of
an essay. It defines your paper’s
goals, direction, scope, and is
supported by evidences.

- It asserts that a condition existed,
exists, or will exist and are based
on facts or data.
- A claim of fact makes an assertion (Students gave examples.)
about something that can be
proved or disproved with factual
evidence.

2. Teens who engaged in unprotected
sex are prone to diseases.
