- Create your visuals. You should have the following slides:
1. Title slide
2. Slide for each speaker’s personal connections
3. Slide for each quotation from the novel
4. Slide for group discussion on the essential question: What is the state of modern life?
5. Closing slide

- Reminders
o Slides should be consistent in terms of font, colour, and design
o Aim to make it slide appealing to the audience
o Incorporate images that add to your ideas
o Avoid full sentences and paragraphs except when sharing quotes from the novel

- Draft your team introduction and team conclusion

- Introduce speakers and today’s topics

- Thank the audience
- Provide opportunity for questions
- Recap main idea(s)

1. Rehearse – Practice aloud. Have the PowerPoint with you. Get used to moving between slides.
Stand up while you do this. Practice delivering your ideas smoothly, confidently, and with good
eye contact.
