DRAFTING ELECTRICAL PLANS AND LAYOUTS
• Electrical layout can be placed on the floor plan
with all the other symbols, information, and
dimensions. This is a common practice on simple
floor plans where the addition of the electrical
symbols does not overcomplicate the drawing.
Another option is to draw electrical plans on a
separate sheet that displays the floor plan walls and
key symbols, such as doors, windows, stairs,
furniture, cabinets, and room labels.
