REGULATORY BACKGROUND FOR THE SCC TO PERFORM THE
FAMILIARIZATION FLIGHT

Yes, based on the EASA regulation ORO.CC.135 this one of the responsibility of the SCC
TRAINEE DUTIES

THE TRAINEE CABIN CREW MEMBER SHALL BE ASSIGNED IN ADDITION TO THE MINIMUM
NUMBER OF CABIN CREW REQUIRED FOR 2 SECTORS
The following documents must be with trainee at the time of check-in:

1. Company ID card.
2. Cabin Crew Attestation.
3. Valid Medical Report for Cabin Crew Attestation (CCA) holder or applicant.
4. Passport (visas, if required)

NOTE: Spare spectacles must be carried for flying duties if it is required by the limitation stated in
person’s Medical Report for Cabin Crew Attestation.
NOTE: Vaccination card/certificate – it is each crewmembers responsibility to carry and present to
the appropriate authorities when required to do so.
NOTE: It is each crew member responsibility to carry for a duty a working wrist watch.
NOTE: Spanish authorities’ might issue QR for medical report, which is accepted.
SCC DUTIES

SCC OF THE FAMILIARIZATION FLIGHT MUST:


• Confirm that crewmember complies with uniform regulations and is in
possession of all mandatory documents
•Supervises the crewmember
•Engages the crewmember in certain cabin crew duties
•Allowed to perform certain tasks UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF SCC
•Documents the event on a training form
DOCUMENTS

If documents are expired or missing, or the event is


interrupted, an email needs to be sent to:

• cabinops@avionexpress.aero

IN PRE-FLIGHT, IN-FLIGHT, POST-FLIGHT DUTIES

Provide with information in terms of security check/search

Advise Inexperienced CC to assist with boarding activities:


- to greet passengers/assist CC4 with OW briefings;
- to observe: passenger headcount, distribution of infant jackets and belts, cabin preparation for take off - baggage,
personal items’ stowage.

- Involve in performing door opening/closing, arming/disarming procedure;


- Ask to practice safety demonstration;
- If takes additional jump seat – life jacket shall be changed to yellow as CC still not
released;
CABIN CREW MUST BE INVOLVED
IN PRE-FLIGHT, IN-FLIGHT, POST-FLIGHT DUTIES

Discuss about regular cabin, lavatory, galley checks (cabin - at least every 20 minutes, waste
collection – 20-30 minutes)

Instruct to observe in-flight service

Recommend to have 1 take off and 1 landing in the cockpit

However, if SCC is not sure or trainee is fully ready to operate as CC, he/she might ask
questions to clarify before signing form or suggest to have additional FAM flight
HOW TO APPROACH KNOWLEDGE EVALUATION DURING THE FLIGHT

Knowledge evaluation needs to be approached like a friendly dialogue between SCC and trainee

The purpose is, by providing support, to create a safe learning environment in which the trainee to develop

The focus needs to be on helping the trainee understand, remember and revise SOPs

Trainee shall be notified in advance on the fact that a discussion on SOP knowledge will follow

Questions asked and topics to be presented in a simple and easy to understand manner, considering trainee’s level of
experience
If the trainee struggles with providing correct information or answering, provide support by rephrasing or offering the
correct answer
The trainee shall also be encouraged to discuss topics relevant to them or ask questions whenever they need
clarification
Knowledge evaluation shall be based on time available and not to the extent that it becomes overwhelming for the
trainee
ADMINISTRATION OF THE EVENT

Cabin Crew member should have TC2 form with themselves. Anyway, it is
recommended for SCC to have spare forms as by human factor it can be
forgotten by CC. TC2 form can be found on Centrik.
Please make sure correctly to fill in the form.
• Type of training:
• Conversion.

• Familiarization sectors:
• SCC name/surname and signature.

• Remarks/summary:
• What have been done during FAM flight, general participation and
incorporation.
• Evaluation and conclusion:
• Or FAM CC is released to operate on his own or not and why.

After FAM flight is completed TC2 form should be signed by SCC (left part) and
CC (right part). Released or not should be marked on left part of column.
TC2 should be photographed and sent
to: cabinlinetraining@avionexpress.aero.
