Criminal Revision Cases up to 2016
N.B:- All prayers for adjournments be made in the open Court only.
1. All matters, on change of roster, shall stand released and shall be posted before the
Bench/s as per roster, except matters which are reserved for judgment or under the caption ‘CAV’
or the matters which are part heard.
2. All Civil Revision Petitions (except the Civil Revision Petitions filed against the orders
made under the Arbitration Act) registered/numbered on or after 01-12-2022 for admission and
interlocutory shall be posted before the concerned Administrative Judge.
3. Civil Revision Petitions registered/numbered on or after 01-12-2022 will be placed before
the respective Administrative Judge on Fridays to be heard between 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm, and
those matters shall remain before the Administrative Judge for a period of four months from its
first date of hearing. If such matters are not admitted/disposed of within the period of four
months, then the cases shall automatically stand transferred to regular Court assigned to hear
Civil Revision Petitions.
4. Civil Motions pertaining to categories of Civil Revision Petitions registered on or after
01-12-2022 shall be moved before the concerned Administrative Judge in-charge of the District.
In the event of absence of any Hon’ble Judge, the civil motions may be moved before regular
Court assigned to hear Civil Revision Petitions.
5. All Civil Revision Petitions (except the Civil Revision Petitions filed against the orders made
under the Arbitration Act) registered before 01-12-2022, which are pending for admission, shall
be posted before the Courts assigned to hear Civil Revision Petitions.
6. On recusal by Division Bench-II, the Cases relating to Commercial Appellate Division and
Civil Miscellaneous Appeals and Civil Revision Petitions relating to Commercial Courts Act, 2015
shall be posted before Division Bench-I.
7. Contempt Petitions alleging willful disobedience of the order passed by the Judge/s shall
be listed before the same Judge/s and if the said Judge/s cease/s to be a Judge/s of this High
Court, the same shall be posted/made before the respective Bench.
8. All lunch motions, Miscellaneous Petitions (other than Review Petitions) on request shall be
posted/made before the respective Bench.
9. All miscellaneous applications such as WPMPs, WAMPs, CMPs, Crl. MPs., relating to final
hearing matters shall be posted before the Bench having final hearing provision for that category.
10. First Appeals and City Civil Court Appeals (other than Land Acquisition Appeals),
including Civil Miscellaneous Appeals, arising out of judgment/order and decree passed prior to
24.9.2020, where the amount or value of the subject matter exceeds Rs.25 lakhs, shall be posted
before a Division Bench as per roster.
11. First Appeals and City Civil Court Appeals (other than Land Acquisition Appeals),
including Civil Miscellaneous Appeals, arising out of judgment/order and decree passed on or
after 24.9.2020, where the amount or value of the subject matter is between Rs. 35/- and Rs.
50/- lakhs, shall be posted before a Single Bench; if it exceeds Rs. 50/- lakhs, the case shall be
posted before a Division Bench as per roster.
12. The matters assigned to a Hon’ble Judge while sitting single by the Hon’ble the Chief
Justice (except the matters allotted for III judge reference or Election Petitions) shall stand
released, when the said Hon’ble Judge is assigned to preside over a Division Bench or as the 2nd
member of the Division Bench, and shall be posted before the Hon’ble Judge assigned to hear
that category of matters.
13. When the recused matter is directed to be posted before other Bench by the Hon’ble the
Chief Justice, on change of the roster and, if it is not part-heard, it shall be posted before the
Judge assigned to hear that category of matters, if such Judge is different from the one who
recused the matter.

14. Review Petitions shall be posted before the Hon’ble Single Judge against whose order the
review petition is filed, and if the said Hon’ble Judge ceases to be a Judge of this High Court, the
same may be posted before the Hon’ble judge who is assigned to hear that category of cases.
15. Matters may be assigned to any Bench under daily orders of Hon'ble the Chief Justice.
