OVERVIEW
The first module was a little bit challenging. However, with constant practice and
patience in every lesson, you will have a lot of knowledge about music. You are always

definitions below:

What is It
The songs above are commonly heard and sung. They have been played
and sung since you are in Grade 1. On the other hand, Rehiyon Dyes is used and sung as
the anthem for Region X – Northern Mindanao. Thus, it is expected to be memorized by
every learners in Region X. Let us analyze the songs below:
The song is in Binary Form. Thus, it has the letters A and B in the music sheet having
two sections.

B. Happy Birthday
This song is commonly heard during birthday parties. It is in Unitary Form because it
has only one section. The notes are just repeated as well as the pitch and melody.

C. Lupang HInirang
This is the anthem of our country. Thus, before we start with our daily classes at
school, we sing it during flag ceremonies. It is in Ternary Form having sections ABC.
Three sections having the same rhythm but different lyrics and pitch.

D. Rehiyon Dyes
This song is sung during regional activities, seminars and trainings; the anthem of
our region. Thus, considering it as one of our local songs. It is in Ternary Form with
sections A, B and C.
