    Aim: Greet students and introduce today's topic.
    Time: 5mins

    Aim: To present new words .
    Slide 2: Presentation
    Have students read the words and the definitions on the slide. Use the
    Time: 13mins images on the slide to further clarify meaning. When they’re done, for each
    word, check pronunciation. Use drilling if needed (chorally and
    individually).

    When finished drilling pronunciation, ask Concept Checking Questions by


    opening a blank page or a whiteboard so student(s) won’t copy the answer
    from this slide. You can always skip CCQs for words which students already
    know.

    Aim: This stage also aims to help students practice speaking.

    Time: 15mins Go over the discussion questions with students.

    Keep notes of errors made by students so you can give correction


    and feedback at the end. You can put the mistakes on the board and
    ask students to identify and correct them for you. Don’t overcorrect.

    Aim: to summarize what was covered in today’s lesson.
    Time: 5mins
    Ask students to help you summarize what they learnt today. They should
    be able to give you the words they learnt and some of the activities they
    did.

    After the summary, you can assign homework which is attached as a


    separate file in the document.
