    GORDON ANDERSON MEMORIAL BURSARY


    Vancouver Fire Fighters' Union IAFF Local 18, strongly believe in education and the role it plays in the
    health of our community.  To this end, we are providing six $1000.00 bursaries to eligible graduating
    high school students to assist them in achieving their educational goals.

    WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

    Applicants must be a graduating student of a Vancouver school (3 bursaries), or the graduating child of


    a current or retired Vancouver Fire Fighter enrolled in any B.C. School District (3 bursaries). 
    All applicants must be a permanent resident in British Columbia.  All applicants must be registered in a
    recognized post-secondary program prior to the end of the current calendar year.

    HOW TO APPLY
    Applications MUST INCLUDE: 
    IMPORTANT:  A one page cover letter outlining your educational goals,  community/school
    involvement, interest in labour related activities, and any other pertinent information.  This helps
    us get to know you!
    A completed application form (attached)
    Two letters of reference
    A copy of your most recent grade transcripts
